@@matthewdoyle3877 Matthew, you could just say "I dont watch West Ham". That tells us the same amount as your comment does. Moyes was dragging us down into a mire, and we are still suffering from it.

We’re going to need to give him time to implement his ideas and style, especially with the constraints Sullivan will impose during his tenure. His track record at Brighton, working with Macauley, was extremely impressive in unearthing players that were almost unheard of and getting the best out of them before being moved on for significant profit. Rice is the only player in recent times I can remember that this was the case. I just hope he is given the trust and freedom to do his job. COYI

Yeah we should go back to our old owners eh? Remember how “hamstrung” we were when they left us? Sullivan & Gold have taken us from going into administration at the 11th hour > Relegation Championship to European silverware in 10 years. If you think thats a holdback then you clearly have no idea how a football club is run

How can a coach build anything at Westham? The owner buys the players and he only buys them from he’s “friends” salthouse ect Until Sullivan goes westham will always struggle,the guy uses the club as a toy and hasn’t got a clue about football.

Exactly the poison dwarf is absolutely cr@p in transfers, WH need to use more youth players already at the club. Just look at Rice from the youths does a great job & gets sold for over £100 million. Buying players for £40 - £50 million is a risk.

Just yes , at last a manager that can communicate and command universal respect. It may sound obvious but we once had a much respected manager who believed simplicity is genius . With everybody backing him he may redefine the West Ham way.

Well compared to the previous two incumbents he is an articulate speaker with some rationale behind his answers. Loppy was struggling with his second language and moyes struggled to be coherent, hence he came across as a dour antiquated Glaswegian.

He certainly has my full backing. If we lose next few games it doesn't matter to me. I'm hoping it's going to be a long-time appointment. He's an intelligent man. I have every confidence he will succeed. The LS has still some dull clouds of previous 2 managers. More Lopetegue than Moyes. Once Bowen is back I think that will lift other players. COYI

Couldn’t be any happier with GP understands the fans very well he’s got my full support, really excited to see what he could build in the upcoming seasons, really all we need now is new owners with lots more £££ to take majority control from the current owners for things to really feel like things are going towards a brighter/ambitions future.

Wasn't thrilled with Potter's appointment, but am excited from what I hear. We are beat up right now, hopefully we can get some players back from injury today. Love seeing the academy players being given some minutes. On a production note...quiet on set! What a professional organization! 👎 There is less background noise on amatuer vlogs. Multiple times in the interview you can hear people screwing around in the background. You don't have quiet spaces for these interviews?

I would like to see low cost bid for a guy like Ricardo Pepi from PSV. Hard worker, mentally tough, heathly track record, has international caps, and he''s playing CL football and scoring. He's currently splitting time behind de Jong but still scoring on the limited opportunities he gets. Tall and great on headers.

@512Squared
@512Squared 9 күн бұрын
Interesting to hear Potter say 1) any tactical shift has to make sense to the player and 2) very few perfect players (and there will always be mistakes), so you have to balance and work with both strengths and weaknesses when deciding tactics and line ups. It's something the armchair fans maybe don't understand when they attack players or talking about how the club have failed to progress and why they think that is, implying it's all so easy and that there is an endless supply of perfect players and so it must be a stupidity/flaw of the manager/owner when a problem develops (i.e. loss of defensive form in last two years relative to the form of the previous two years). It's also a kind of entitlement, as if the opposing teams didn't even exist and we just have to turn up to get a win. It's a battle, between some of the best players in the world.
@cappa351

Exactly. Everyone says are defence is awful and it kinda is however. If we dont attack well we wont defend well. Meaning we need to inprove our attack

I don't think Potter believes in the 'star' system. He seems convinced that moderate ability combined with clever tactics and team unity is what leads to success. If any player then feels he is worth more money and attention, it's better if they leave.
