She may be jobless and having first world problems, which I somehow resent, but I do believe that on an emotional level she has her hands full. I don't think it's easy to follow your husband through never-ending ambitions of being the best with having no clear deadline when this whirl is to be over. They have young kids with emotional needs as well and she is there to witness it all, while Nole is only focused on goat hunting.

As a Serbian, as a woman, i probably shouldn't say this, but! there is something about her i don't like. In no mean am i envious of her or anything like that, just to make it clear. She is intelligent, good looking, smart, well educated, outspoken, with good social skills and confident young woman. She has it all, after all Novak is her husband, one of the most dominant athletes ever, he belongs to her, but still somehow it's not enough. She feels living in his shadow and need to compete, it means she is insecure in his commitment and feelings towards her. If this behavior is something he got to deal with all the time, i can understand him. She said she supposed to be and was expected from her to be interested in fashion and looks? Who exactly expected it from her? There is at least one famous woman if not two, which comes to my mind, which in fact is interested in fashion, is gorgeous, famous on her own, rich and accomplished, someone Novak genuinely liked and i won't say name. So, it's just speculation but to me, if you are insecure in his interest and feelings, if you are anxious he can have "better" one, why did you stay in that relationship instead wanting to compete? Why getting pregnant and marrying when Novak was in his peak? She is a modern woman, she could have planned the parenthood like anything else she puts her mind to. Since they got married she has changed, she suddenly found herself and her own way, choosing kind of "intellectual" way instead fashion, just to emphasize how better than other, she is. Ironically, she build her platform being known as Novaks wife, no other accomplishments really. If it was about being independent and on her own, why didn't she done her way without him? To me, she is entitled, insecure as hell and sad part it seems she is projecting it to him, probably using children in some way. That "amore" bullshit is just to abviuos and annoying, we as a nation are not really that much romantic in public. She is just pushing it to hard, it's not authentic and not likeable at all.

Completely agree that she is insecure. She said that she was trying to compete with him because she deserves credit for what she does and wants to be seen as more than the wife of a famous athlete. She's a smart, educated and beautiful woman but let's be honest, she wouldn't have had the opportunity to get interviewed by Graham. Being Novak's wife gave her a huge platform. The public was first introduced to her as Novak's girlfriend and the public will always see her as Novak's significant other. Yes, she runs the foundation but it is still the Novak Djokovic foundation. His name, not hers or both of theirs (like Bill and Melinda Gates, Michael and Susan Dell,...). She hasn't really done anything to get out of Novak's shadow and create her own business or brand(like Janko Tipsarevic's wife). Everything she does is connected to her husband in a way so she can't really be surprised that people only see her as the wife of Novak. I'm sure she does a great job taking care of the kids but Roger Federer's wife travels with him everywhere with 4 kids, was his public relations manager (I don't know if she still is), does great work at their foundation and is on the board yet never gets praised for it. I do agree when she says that there's a stereotype about athletes' wives and girlfriends. They are expected to look good for the camera all the time but I didn't like that she tried to make it a man vs woman issue saying that women are not allowed to speak out a lot and show out a lot. Serena's husband is in her shadow (even though he's very successful on his own) but he never complains. Another thing that was weird was her talking about motherhood, how the thought that Stefan has to exceed his father ''destroyed her''. Her son was a baby at the time. How about focusing on his health and happiness? It's like she's already trying to create this competition between father and son, that her son has to be better than his father to be considered successful I don't get why people are praising her in the comments. This interview is making her look bad. She came across very selfish, (for example, leaving Novak alone with the kids in the middle of a GS tournament to go on a ''spiritual trip"), insecure, jealous of her husband's success and all about me, me, me

Who cares what someone with the handle "jekapanika" meaning Jeka, shortened female name of Jelena, maybe, and the state of panic that she is in, thinks about anything in the world. Speculating about other girls that you liked more than Novak is bellow any level of human decency. You are talking about something that YOU don't like. It's not about you Jeko. Try to improve yourself instead of belittling others.

@@22972nono The one thing which she should recognise is that Novak's Tennis career is short. He has an opportunity to become the most successful Tennis player of All time which would inspire a generation of people. (he has already). She needs to realise that it will be over soon and that most wives/husbands would do their best to reduce any pressures at home and reassure their partner that they do not need to worry and to concentrate on what they have to do. Sometimes you have to realise when your wife or husband is in the most important moment of their career. I have no doubt after Novak finishes in a few years time he would do the same for Jelena. She will have ample time to take a more central position in the future years. They are both young. She is in such a fantastic position I just think maybe she cant fully see it. She will probably regret it if she does look back and feel she didn't do what she could to make this moment for Novak as easy as possible off the court.

Do you know them in person? Are you aware of the details in their relationship? I guess you don't and neither does any of us. She explains her part of the story. She felt drained because she had to take care of their children mostly on her own. Her husband got to have his career and success while she had to hold the family together. If you think that is worthless, then there is no hope for you.

She is a diva. Wow her life is so hard. She is married to the richest tennis player in the world and she’s doing all the heavy lifting. Do you see Sampras’, Federer’s or etc wife complaining? “She is so spent after Rolland garros?” What about Novak or any of the ppl actually playing? I have no words. I feel really bad for Novak. I know he is trying to hold everything back. Fighting on the tennis court front and also his marriage.

She is not complaining , she is just speaking about her feelings and about her struggles, no matter how rich you are you always have the same problems, how to raise kids in the best way you can , how to not let them down. Also she focused completely on Novak and his carrer and I guess she needed to put her life a bit aside in order to help Novak to reach the place he is now. This is a huge sacrifice , she must really love him he is one lucky guy dont feel sorry for him, he has the best wife one can get.
