One grain train for each line plus a ethanol train so it was an all agricultural day. One can just envision that trestle being built with guys Heating all those rivets and it's always neat to find old abutments whether rebuilt or abandoned in line with those murders that grade Crossing sounded like the place where knives are sharpened. That scene where Norfie is sitting in the sun is kind of a shocker because it looks like the poor thing got bleached by the bright lights!
@MrEferrell2 жыл бұрын
Not necessarily foreign power on the ethanol train, but "run through" power. UP picks up the train at a refinery, delivers to NS, then changes to NS crews to deliver to final destination. You may see BNSF grain trains run through in your neck of the woods.
@jimwilloughby2 жыл бұрын
You'll have to get back to Pikeston more often Doing that keeps your videos interesting. Even without looking to see if those tankers were down on the springs, I could tell that was a heavy train just by listening to the rails and ties groan.

Morning JT. That is a awesome trestle bridge. I noticed in Ohio after the gates come down the bells stop. In California they stay on when the gates are down. Just something I noticed. Great video!
@MAGronemeyer2 жыл бұрын
I like it when the bell shuts off once the gates are down. Some crossings in Missouri and Illinois have a continuous bell until the train clears the crossing. Continuous bells drive me nuts!

Nice catch of the NS, UP and CSX trains! I like the new crossing you recorded from to see the train off in the distance. That NS Grain Train was moving right along to get it delivered! That UP train had a MASSIVE load of tankers in that consist. And to see the CSX Grain Train going across that old Trestle was a Spectacular sight! Just catching up on your videos bcuz my phone battery died and had to wait for Amazon to deliver my new one lol. Thanks again for sharing some awesome footage with us! Cheers from Delmar, Delaware.

Great excellent video, mr Jaw Tooth. You made a good shot of that old bridge builded in 1927 including the corrosion. Look out for that CSX or NS that means lighter trains or trains must riding slower. East of the station Amsterdam Central go the owner of the rail infrastructure replace the old bridges from steel to concrete. Greet from Zandvoort the Netherlands.

JT: Could that highway bridge over the 3 CSX tracks, been a RR bridge at one time? It's a plate girder bridge, not like most highway bridges. There once was one like that a few miles from my house, that had a dirt road on it, but years before that, it was used by an Interurban RR!
