Listening to Graindelavoix reawakens the excitement I felt on first discovering Josquin, Orlando di Lasso, Ockeghem and the like almost fifty years ago. Nowadays I tend to find conventional recordings of the works of such composers too tame, in too much good taste. I love the rawness of Graindelavoix's sound. I wish they would tackle Ockeghem's Requiem - the wonderful recording of it (to me terrifying in its evocation of death) by the Clemencic Consort does not seem to be available - neither as part of the Clemencic edition nor in any other digital format.

👍 Better here than in Machaut ; les voix flamandes restituées peut-être... intéressant.
