Première recording (live concert version) of this work by one of the most fabulous, but underrated polyphonists, Ludwig Senfl (Basel 1486- Munich 1543)
Léon Berben plays the voix-humaine-register with beautiful tremolo of the Jacques renaissance organ in Kapellekerk Brussels. The organ version of pars III of Senfl's motet derives from the tablatures of Jan de Lublin.
The singers of graindelavoix on this performance are: Anne-Kathryn Olsen, Razek-François Bitar, Albert Riera, Andrés Miravete, Marius Peterson & Arnout Malfliet, directed by Björn Schmelzer.
Thanks to Arnaud Van de Cauter and Voce et Organo Festival for the concert invitation...
And to Sonia Wronkowska and Łukasz Kozak inviting graindelavoix for performing polyphonists from Polish sources!
