Fascinating! Thanks for all of the detailed speciosum info. I never realized how large these were in the wild. This makes me want to research the 3 species orchids my plant originated from.

Thanks, the speciosum is really the biggest of them all but the only one I could finally find here after a loooong search. In the US they are more common and hybridized, mainly by Hawaiian nurseries.

Interesting , thanks . I would have just kept the root ball, seems ok as.Later on , not quite . Got 2 bulbs from Malaysia and 8 seedlings from Vietnam .

I don't buy those crappy plants from schwerter any more. Note that the canes can grow up to 3 meters long! so it needs a bit of space.

Great repotting video, thanks for sharing. Grammythophylums are one of my wish list plants, though take up a lot of space but if I get a large orchid room I would love to try them. Did you say they have fragrance too? That is great! Thanks for sharing and happy growing 😊

I think the pot is too small...could be double the size

possibly but it was an import and needed to keep my eye on it. most likely it will be repotted soon.
