Dave should go down as the greatest rocker who has ever or will ever live. No human being will ever exist who is so amazing and humble at the exact same time while having written some of the greatest rock music ever produced. Love you, Dave! Keep being you because the world is a better place with you in it!

Dave is cool as they come. I never imagined that dork behind the kit in Nirvana would have become the rock God he is today. But, he is the modern equivalent of the immortals that came before. And, he inducted the three coolest dorks in the history of music into the RRHOF.. RUSH

It's a shame he lost his best friend last year Mr Taylor Hawkins and his mom Mrs Virginia Grohl. He deserves all the love and happiness that he and his family can get. He has experienced too much heartbreak in his lifetime with his dear friends. Lemme kilmeister Kurt Cobain Taylor Hawkins and his mom and his dear friend from childhood Jimmy... God bless him .❤

This book was absolutely fantastic. I had a hard time putting it down. It was funny, sorrowful, exciting, thought provoking - all at once!! It is a non - linear book and that is what makes it so great. He will start a story and it will segue into a past event or jump forward seemlessly. Its similar to when you are sitting with an old friend and it's the back and forth -" hey, remember when...". There are parts where you, yourself, recall reading or hearing about a piece but here, it goes into a detailed account where you can imagine being there. One story starts in his childhood regarding the countless times he would be injured and it segs into the future and I knew the broken leg/ankle story was coming. That story was very disturbingly fascinating yet morose to read about. This book is a must read. If you appreciate him now, it will be 100x more when you're finished.

Dave is certainly one of the greats of rock music, regardless of what poor Tyler believes (however, it is his/her opinion and is valid, albeit maybe only to him/her). Nirvana before Dave nowhere really. Sure they had released an album but weren't hugely successful with it. Dave comes in BOOM. Dave starts again with Foo Fighters after the tragedy of Nirvana and BOOM yet again one of the biggest, most popular rock bands in the world, although not with the same impact Nirvana had had in the music world in 1992/92. Dave shows how both determination & tragedy can be a driving force towards reaching your goals and living the life you dreamt of as a young kid. I read the book and enjoyed it immensely. It has led me to think back over my life and realise I only have myself to blame for not pursuing the same course as Dave back when I was a kid in the 80s. I lived and breathed music but life went a different direction for me. It is what it is.
