Not exactly sure how I stumbled across this video, but I first song of theirs I heard was "The Night We Met" when Budweiser used it for their Dale Jr tribute in 2017. Still somehow took me a little more than two years to realize I shared a name with Ben!

All the way back then, even with Strange Trails, his own words were that it was about not being afraid to “stare into the void.” All of these albums are connected and it’s the coolest thing in the world. I can’t get enough of Lord Huron!

I was driving to work today, listening to Pandora when THE NIGHT WE MET started pouring into my car and it took me back to that foggy memory of that perfect night I met my one and only. We have two beautiful kiddos now... sometimes life can be so cruel, people make mistakes, we say things we don’t think through. Sometimes, I hate to admit I wonder if I’d never met him that night but mostly I am so overwhelmed at how incredibly blessed I am to have met him.

It's about the earth. "I know the rain like the clouds know the sky" rain falls to the ground and feeds the earth "I speak to birds and tell them where to fly" birds use the earth's magnetic fields to navigate "I sing the songs that you hear on the breeze" the wind is influenced by the topography of the earth Then it gets more metaphorical, but it's about how all things that live off the earth must die eventually. The whole album is like a series of ghost stories.

"I will wait by the river" was first song that KZbin played randomly for me. I don't get western music bands to be honest , but I would regard lord Huron to be well recognized classic band but I am disappointed to find these that these guys are so underrated and there are so less interviews. The music is one of its own kind and authentic , I wanna know the mind of composer.

@@nickg339 Lord Huron was excellent! They opened with Love Like Ghosts/Meet me in the woods. From there they put on a performance that I wont ever forget. I got pretty emotional once they ended with The Night We Met. All in all it was a rollercoaster of emotions.🙂👍
