This is the craziest thing, imagine for fun doing a cover of a popular song, the original artist likes it and then they're performing YOUR arrangement of that version at the GRAMMYs. This is what happened with Butch Walker and his cover of You Belong With Me.

This is the first time I’ve ever watched this, a decade later. And I ho early don’t think that Taylor was that bad. Especially in Rhiannon, Taylor adds some nice harmonies. You belong with me also sounds awesome in this very country-handed arrangement. I might be the only living person to have this opinion. I know taylor has had some vocal flubs before. However, I don’t think this might was one of them.

Cool story about the arrangement for You Belong With Me. The guy playing the banjo on stage here is an artist and producer named Butch Walker. He recorded this arrangement for fun and posted it on KZbin. Shortly after Taylor tweeted about it and when she was asked to perform for the Grammy's she asked him to play with her and use his arrangement. He's a great artist and producer.

He is not a public figure and has convinced many people to pretend they are him. This is very common and allows ghostwriters to work more - He concepted both drake and Kendrick Lamar, for instance. They’re all hacks.

Here are the facts: 1. Any young artist would be intimidated singing opposite a legend like Stevie Nicks. 2. Taylor graciously sang in Stevie's key. This is hard for singers to adapt to. Frank Sinatra is considered one of greatest vocalists of all time, but he ALWAYS did duets in HIS KEY. 3. Taylor's ear piece had technical difficulties, so she could not hear her own or Stevie's vocals 4. Those who say Taylor can't sing; Tay signed a development deal at 14 with RCA, and they wanted her to record other writers songs, i.e. they hired her as VOCALIST NOT AS SONGWRITER. They also wanted her to wait until 18, which is why she left for start up Big Machine. 5. Mean was written about a single blogger who went from avid support to hating on her. 6. Stevie Nicks defended Tay against criticism for this performance; "It is girls like Taylor Swift who will save the music industry." How prophetic this was,; Taylor not only has had massive success herself, but mentors other artists and champions artist getting fair royalties from streaming services.

After watching this, i realize that its actually not that bad. I feel like the only really go to say bad part would be when she sang rhiannon. But tbh, it actually wasnt that bad aside from a few pitchy moments. I thought you belong with me sounded great and today was a fairy tail, minus one or two pitch moment, probably due to lack of breath support, was also deacent.

Taylor was nervous, upset and young here. Taylor started as a country artist and here her habit of singing country songs shows. I love Stevie Nicks too and I think Stevie isn't that good as she usually is in singing You belong with me because it's not her genre. DUH. IS THAT SO HARD TO UNDERSTAND.

Okay everyone she couldn't hear her own voice when she was singing this and those of you who can sing may know that when you can't hear your voice while singing then your notes and flow and voice would be disastrous.
