Grampas Jeep on Sliplock Sept 2023

I take on the red rock obstacles of The Sliplock Trail in Sand Hollow near Hurricane, Ut in my 1948 Willys CJ2A I call Grampa's Jeep We ran this trail on September 30th, 2023.

Sliplock is mistakenly rated a level 6. The bypasses are a level 6. The trail is a solid level 8!

Hey there! Great footage! What is your tyre size on that Jeep? What tyre pressure do you put for this type of wheeling?

Hi Kevin, Thanks for checking in. My tires are 7.00 x 16 Firestone NDTs. I run them tubeless, even though they are a "tube type" tire. On the trail, I run them at 9 - 10 psi.

What gear ratio and lockers are you running?

Stock 5.38 gears in the axles and Lock Right automatic lockers in the axles. My low range transfer case gears are a bit lower than stock.
