This is so painful to watch.. I remember the day this game came out. I was so desperately waiting to get out of class back in 2010 for my mom to take me to get this game. And I would play this and GTA 4 online everyday with my friends almost everyday. It truly sucks growing up and having responsibilities. I would give anything to go back.

GT5 is better than GT Sport IMO. Why? Let's talk about the physics, in GT5 i felt everything, you feel the weight of the chassis of your car when you are taking corners, while in GT Sport it feels soft and unfeeling physics. Now the graphics, for a last Gen console, i think GT5 has better graphics than GT Sport because GT Sport looks too cartoonist to me and takes away the simulation between the car and the atmosphere, so i had to turn the saturation all the away down. The soundtrack menus in GT5 were just something that takes you to another world, it's unexplainable but trust me it's 100% better than GT Sport, i don't have more explanations about what i love on GT5, i literally love EVERYTHING from the game from 0 to 100.

I remember in 2nd grade I walked up to my dad and I said, "I want a racing game!" I'm pretty sure I was talking about those sketchy flash games that probably give you viruses each time you play them, but my dad went and bought a whole ass PS3 just for the sole purpose of playing Gran Turismo 5. Despite the expenses, this game has shaped up to be one of the most memorable ones I have ever played. My dad and I would play for hours on end, and my friends were astonished when they saw it. Right from the start, that opening scene was freakin awesome. And not just that: The bopping music, the detailed graphics, and the tactile physics really made this game absolutely incredible. And addictive. Today, I still have that PS3 and the solitary GT5 disc sitting under my TV, so whenever I need a little throwback time, I can simply whip out the controller and hit play. And when I do, I continue to be mesmerized by the awesome graphics that still look better than a lot of games today. So I'll say it here: Gran Turismo 5 is LEGENDARY, and even though its multiplayer is long dead, its player base will continue to thrive for years to come.

Qué nostalgia, recuerdo un momento en mi vida en los que ciertos problemas (y no problemas menores precisamente) me afligían mucho y estaba triste la gran parte del tiempo. En una de esas agarré mi PS3 y el Gran turismo 5 que me habían regalado hace un tiempo y comencé a jugarlo y a completarlo. En resumen me ayudó muchísimo a sobrellevar la tristeza e ignorar por un ratito que mis problemas existían... Es un gran juego, siempre lo recordaré con mucho cariño

@@cassette_elk I want ask question. I have a plan to buy a PS3 Blu ray that is still sealed. I'm just afraid that the back surface will turn black because it's been more than 10 years. Because of the experience of buying pirated DVDs for 2 years, they've been stored. Instead they turn black or turn dark blue, but they can't be read. what do you think, could it also hit the blu ray PS3/PS4?

Gran Turismo 5 is a wonderful game. While one could argue that Gran Turismo 6 is the better game, I still prefer GT5 because of a few reasons, one being the nostalgia factor. Perhaps that is also why I prefer Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec over Gran Turismo 4...
