I loved the lack of restrictions in this game. All the new games force you to go by “realistic” car and race restrictions, but I remember this game I basically finished more than half the game with a 70s corvette I just kept upgrading! Game was simple and fun. The new games are too complicated.

Bladez Andrew you do realize an F1 car can't run full speed around this track in real life, there's to much elevation change, corner camber and it's so bumpy it can shake your teeth out. GT3s run 6:30-6:35 around this track, 90s group c cars ran 5:50-6:00 lap and modern day test and simulation that on a flying lap they could complete a lap in under 5:20, I see no reason why an 2010 F1 couldn't do under 5 minutes, but we'll never know because F1 cars can't run a lap, there's a reason they don't race F1 or LMP1 here anymore, going off track in an F1 car is basically instant death, there's 9 parts of the track where F1 cars reach over 300kph

Bladez Andrew gt6 is much better as far as this problem goes. With a turbo charged 91 787b (940hp) I was barely able to get under 6 mins. And the elevation changes as mentioned in another comment are definitely there. Too many times I have flown into a barrier at 200+mph

200+ is 320kmh while it's certainly possible to reach those speeds on the nordschleife there's no way you would ever crash at that speed because you would only be that fast on the long straight, and unless your braking zone is nonexistent you wouldn't be going anywhere near that fast in a corner and i dont think it's possible to get a lap under 6 mins with a 787b unless it's a btg time, and even still that's just crazy and further proves that gt6 isn't that realistic. it's certainly more realistic than a lot of racing games but it's far from sim.... really far

Uber Fresco The formula one record for this track is just under 7 minutes and it hasn't been broken in decades because the track is so dangerous to drive on. Its unrealistic because it doesnt take in for granted the drivers survival instinct. In real life no drive would drive like this because you would have to be suicidal to take that many risks

The all time record for that course is 6'11" and he does it in 5'6" Andrew above suggests that I compare this video to real life F1 racing videos. Search Nurburgring F1. Compare the speed,gearing,and handling those drivers used with what is exhibited in this video. Granted, it is a video game and there is only so much realism that you can expect from a game, but for the most part the point in playing a simulation game is to attain a experience as close as possible to real life. From what I have seen based on this and other videos of this game, GT5, does not do that.Ultimately that is just my opinion which is obviously subjective and biased. More than likely, GT fans will stick with GT, and Forza fans with Forza. To each his own.

we agree, the only difference is that an F1 with race setup will reach top speed much quicker than Veyron and then stuck there due to aerodynamics. btw 332km/h is a totally achievable speed for an F1, they reach more in Monza

Before I commented, I had only tried using the F10 once before. I tried it last week using Racing Medium tires and it was very possible to spin the tires and lose traction. I'm guessing you only tried it out using the stock settings? Default LSD and gear settings?

Well, I only know about it. An HD DVR works by recording whatever is playing on the TV. I'm not sure if you need the TV on or not, but probably not. That's really all I know. Use google to check what it's defined as and how it's used. I've wanted one since I got GT5 at launch, but it isn't something I've wanted bad enough to learn about.

The APP is called CL (Centerline) from Google store...it sticks any car along the center of any road, going at any speeds on GT5, and spits you out at the end of the track...no slipping, no sliding. ! Its a fun little app...!

Do games that have this problem have the pressure built in if you wanna play with peddles, or is it just "On & Off" like Forza(with the controller)? I'd believe that the game is what it is... and if so, it should only make a difference with steering, not "pressure moderation" which kinda still proves my point to be at least somewhat valid.
