i bought the ps3 a week ago, and i bought prologue. And i really like the realism in this game, i like everything in this game and can't wait for the full release to come to stores. Hope the cars would also be a bit Aesthetically customizable.

they will be, remember its the prologue, graphics and sound will be improved because a person who is actually working on the gt5 project was saying on youtube that the graphics and sound will both be improved, as well as more realistic hand and rear vision mirror effects inside of the car, and for the f1 car, the led screen on the wheel will have tach and a speed indicators on it.

Exactly what I was thinking. They also add some post-processing effects like motion blur in the replays that would make it really dificult for the game to retain a consistent 60 fps.

The video is amazing, shows every bit of the potential of GT5. The engine sound is amazing, so freaking detail, and the echo of the engine sound, just sounds so real. Also, the bumping sound when driving on the curb, everything is just right. Almost life like. What can I complain about it? I am waiting for the US version released on 17th April. By the way, how's the G25 feel? I have never used a wheel, I tried once, and it's hard. Isn't it hard to balance the car when drifting? Nice driving.

I have to agree! I havn't played the new GT yet but I hope they Improve on the engine notes! Forza did give you more of a sence of weight compared to GT4. I'm hoping they do that with the new GT as well! I'm still a hardcore GT Fan! I just love the way it's all set up! Especaily when I comes to buying cars! Both are great games!

Nice driving as usual. I can't seem to hit the apex on the exit turn of spoon consistently. When done right, the difference in speed at the end of the back straight is pretty substantial and can be carried all the way to before Casio. People who try to rush that corner ended up running out of room at the exit and loosing time.

Notice all the lighting effects mimic real cameras recording to film... bloom, shadows, etc. And the sound bouncing off the walls. Also the high resolution of the car's physics-- see it's tight suspension dip at points of great stress. Awesome driving by the way. But what seat are you using? Great lines.

It not being about crashing doesn't justify not having any damage physics. If you claim to be a driving simulator, you need to have a realistic damage model, it's as simple as that.

I meant in general, Gran turismo's sounds aren't the greatest Example would be the muscle car sounds in something like Gran turismo 4 Don't get me wrong, I GT is my favourite series ever, I just wish they'd put some more effort into the sound department However going by these prologue Ferrari videos, they are stepping in the right direction

Okay im a Gran Turismo fanboy, but i gotta admit, I really REALLY wanted the sound of the ferrari's and other cars to be nicer(the soundtrack of ferrari's are just astonishing). But you can't really complain cause they did such an excellent job at most other things, Tyre smoke is still an issue for me cause i love to do fishies and drift around the track's alot =D

Damage has been confirmed for GT5. Its not in Prologue but the final finished game will have full car damage and it will affect the handling of the car.

Id have to agree with you about the cars landing horribly from jumps. As they touch the floor again its like it doesnt have any weight and doesnt go down into the track it just seems to place the car back on the track and the car keeps on going

this is exactly the reason i bought a ps3 from the get go instead of the xbox360 even though it was cheaper because the potential is many times greater and plus all come with blu-ray player. an absolute bargain considering everything.

@chinmassager yes that is cos GT5 ain't out yet... until Novemeber the 2nd... I haven't played Iracing, but from what I've seen, its not as good as GT5, the main thing about Iracing is the amount of information you can get from each race.... and also has more tools for customization...... BTW have you played GT5 Prologue? if you haven't then give it a try, if you have a PS3....but keep in mind it is a PROLOGUE not the full game...

@decoyla yes GT4 is quite realistic, but you haven't, I haven't driven most of the cars in real life to determine that it is like real life, but rather racing drivers, and presenters like Tiff Needell and Vettel have tested GT4/5 and have said that they are the most realistic games to exist... Enthusia might be more realistic, or it might just FEEL realistic, and not be I don't know.. I haven't played it.. but in my opinion even the GT5 prologue is on par with full games that have came out.....

I gotta totally disagree with "Thursday733" cos Gran Turismo isn't really about damage fx, polophony wants to make the game so that it can emulate real life driving/racing, and they have got the physics almost perfect, as the demonstrations show........ and who gives a damn if GT has vehicle damage or not, cos GT is just about racing......

Shame that sounds it's not up to the task, too regular, cold. Graphics are amazing, but again, pavement like pool table, and i see other video where cars jumps and land horribly unreal. I hope they improve that in final version.

@champion1642 GT4 is quite realistic but have you tried Enthusia, which may not have the sam ammount of cars as gt 4 or have the uptrade/tune system as gt4/forza , but the physics i found far more realistic than g4. when playing gt4 if feels like driving a brick for most cars, and im not trying to say that gt4 is a shit game just that its not as good as soem others.. now with gt5 they seem to have fixed most of the problems gt4 had, this comes from playing the prologue.. happy racing

I hope they at least have the Enzo but more importantly the FXX or the FXX Evolucion. That would definately be the buying point for me to get a PS3 and get GT5. if the clutch and 6 speed G25 steering wheel works perfectly with GT5 next heart beat its mine. I love smashing in the Enzo with my xbox360 and my FF MS Steering wheel but im just tired of not having a actual dashboard. I just dont get why PGR 3&4 has the indash viewing but they left that out of Forza2.its ridiculous.Forza 3 bet have it

The tarmac and the sounds of the cars in GTP are still not up to par compared to other racing games. The only true visual treat are the cars, which are ridiculously detailed. I seriously hope they get it right in GT5. If they don't, that's the end of the franchise.

Actually i don't really know, probably becouse they are very expensive with their stuff and copy a lot of things from other companies. I also don't like the controller (I'm used to xbox 360, the best controller ever according to many people) But on the other hand, they do make good stuff! I've had a PS1 when I was young, but my hands are also alot bigger now :P so I'll probably wait it out and when the game comes out, ill get in in a pack or something.
