This has a few distinctions. Unique widebody and the only muscle car which can be fitted with a rear diffuser. The best classic muscle in the game.

Plus the manual and racing gearboxes are identical for some reason... wonder why that hasn't been fixed yet.

A black 69 boss 429 happens be my dream car, it is a handful to start with, a little tuning makes it so much better

You should review the E30 M3 if you haven’t already. It’s my favourite car to drive at the moment. It feels very raw, and the steering is perfect in the sense it goes where you want it to go. It’s my go-to for 600PP races

I own a 302 69 fastback IRL and have seen a few examples though never had a chance to drive one. Have to give this one a try at some point l.

I've always wanted to see somebody thrash an old Mustang like an RX-7 in a video game. It's just so cool to watch.

Had to have a bit of a John Wick moment in it, lol

Speaking of tuning, I remember the tuning videos were the first videos I watched on this channel for GT6. I loved those videos because they added another dimension in the game that would have taken a long time if I had to figure it out for myself.

Mine is Gone on 60sec spec. When I do my own custom races, this is a good performer as an opponent in 450pp 500pp & 550pp👍

This car w/ Widebody and aero + suspension + brakes + tires + racing manual = awesome (PS: May I suggest choosing a a track like Streets of Willow to test your tune balance and ability? I mean they use that track irl to do that)

500 pp but only because of the sport tyres instead of confort medium for the others. Great car for Watkins glen !

I have a 1966 mustang with a 289. My real life '66 would smoke this one in the game. I got it to 120mph and it had quite a bit left to go. I'd guess it would probably hit somewhere from 140-150 but it could surprise me and do more. Now, in real life, a Boss 429 would eat my '66 coupe alive. No doubt, it would blow my my car away. So it's sad to see such a beast of a car doing worse in the game than my basically stock 289 with a 3 speed automatic. I always felt Gran Turismo didn't really do classic cars justice, especially American classics. I know today's cars are faster and handle better but the from the mid 70s up till the 2000s, in Mustangs for sure, they aren't a match for the '60s muscle cars. The 80s 5.0 could be tuned to do pretty good and the 302 is a great little motor but it's really the only thing that ran good out of most of the years beyond the muscle car Era. Even then, the 80s Mustangs were incredibly ugly. I supposed I'm a bit biased in favor of muscle cars but I'm not wrong about gran turismo doing them dirty. Gt seems to favor the old Japanese cars quite a bit over the old American ones.

Here's an interesting topic that I've seen nobody talk about, Steering Angle kits, are they cheating? Because while they may seem only for drifting, in reality your are putting down a measily 2.5k for way better corninering, no matter the downforce or grip. I use these on nearly all my racing spec cars and it works wonderfully. They also don't increase PP at all... 🤔
