Hello, chums. The suspension videos will be next. Due to how much there is to cover, I'll split it into either two or three videos. The first will mainly focus on Ride height and natural frequency. Ta-ra!

As a person very big in the Gran Turismo drag scene and an accomplished tuner. The ballast does help partially, the key is to have it as low a possible without wheel spin. Still a great example of the benefits.

@@olivermikolajuk4631 I haven't really pryed too deep into the drag community for gt7. The viper acr, ford gt, cadillac cein, suzuki escudo, bugatti veyron, and chaparral 2d being the fastest in gt6 lobbies was the last time I really got into all that.

When pp limited on high speed tracks like Monza, ballast is a more efficient way to drop pp than the power restrictor. Opposite is true on the likes of Tsukuba.

I've never used the ballast option... I try to keep some characteristics of the cars as they are and try to perfect a suspension setup

If you buy weight reduction for your cars, the balance can change a little bit! Usually not more than 1%, but still 🙂

Ballast distribution and aero values should be out of the pp system, as they did with susp values and gear ratios

I strongly disagree. Aero and ballast have far too great of an effect on a car's performance to _not_ affect the pp value. The only reason I'm remotely OK with suspension tuning not affecting pp is specifically because you can adjust it to best suit the aero and weight balance of your vehicle, and transmission tuning is much less impactful than any of the other three. Of the four factors mentioned, at least two need to affect pp, or the entire system rapidly becomes (pardon the pun) pointless.

@@griffinfaulkner3514 so in F1 (for example) they should let cars have less weight or more hp depending on the aero config and weight distribution? You're probably one of the guys who love to glitch the pp system to use an op broken car 🤭

@@S0lidF0x There's no BoP on F1, so that's a bad comparison to start with. Looking at something like GT3 or Hypercar where BoP is a factor, cars _do_ tend to get different amounts of power, weight, and aero efficiency based on the strength of the base platform, including its weight distribution. And no, I _hate_ the idea of glitching pp values, because most of the time those setups drive like complete shit, and my preferences for setup sit in an extremely narrow performance window to begin with.
