Race #1 - I don't know if it's update 1.25 or what but the AIs are much faster running 57 secs laps. The 1st time I ran this race I finished in 4th place and 1-3 lapped me... I had the difficulty set to easy too. I changed the difficulty to hard and tried the race again just to see if the setting makes a difference in these type of races (assumed it wouldn't) or if the setting was somehow glitched and didn't apply correctly but now the 2nd time around I'm gaining on the top 3. We'll see how this race goes.

3:37:00 I just did that with the Detomaso Pantera. High suspension. Wide body kit. Hard tyres. Rocks this 550 pp like a glove. One pit stop.

Putting it here as of march 2023 the mission is still bugged/reversed. Mazda mission, on easy, AI was doing low 58 second laps by lap 3- that is faster what what supergt was running at most of the time. Watched video a while ago, not even sure he went managed to get 58sec lap time. AI on hard, 10 minutes into the race, it’s best time is 1:00:387.

That's how motorsport works, if your car gets damaged, you pay for it. Its the same in F1, even if someone crashes into you and its 100% their fault, you pay for the damage of your own car.

Gt5 prologue have fond memories in the lotus and v6 Clio. Have played gran turismo since the original 3 a spec was ok but gt didn’t really start being more of a sim till gt4 when nurb nord was 1st introduced

Escudo was a sick car.. suppose you could have driven it into the extremes of the track and still owned the competition. Probably on the test track over any other tracks. Remember that being the car and track for grinding wealth and buying every car including the speed 12.. bit of a pointless car once you had a Suzuki escudo

Don't know if it's cos of rebalancing but kei car autopolis (race 3) no longer works with this setup. Did exactly the same and had 5pp spare. Start the race 12.5 seconds behind and p17/18 right on my tail by corner 1.

I’ve been trying to do the one in the Miata and it’s impossible for me. Idk why the AI in your race were so slow the AI in my race were getting 57.8 second lap times. Basically once I got to P6 there was no way to make up the time

I've heard that having the AI difficulty set to easy actually makes them faster so set this to hard. If you already are on hard, I can only suggest restarting the race and hoping the AI slow down!

I've had the same! I was on normal and the front two were ridiculously far out in front there would be no chance of ever catching them

Yup, raising the overall difficulty was it for me.. was able to beat it putting it back to hard, and the ai drivers lost 2-3 seconds a lap... go fig

I had the same issue, fasted lap was 57.690 from AI. I did have the game on easy so I’ll give it a go on increased.

I don’t see difficulty setting in description. Ive tried and failed this one 4 times now(3rd place) on normal and hard difficulty. Was in the lead on final lap once until Ai spun me out. The AI in your video is considerably slower than what I have experienced. Frustrating!

Ok this is odd. For me in Tsukuba, the AI in the second lap set a time of 58 secs which was the fastest. Then a few laps later another AI hit 57.8 secs! But why is it for your race you are comfortable leading the lap time with around 1minute in the beginning. It seems the AI is not as fast for you?!! Can anyone of any logical reason?

Two questions; how did you end up with such slow AI drivers? Yours seem to be doing 1minute plus laps based off your first 9 laps. Mine start registering 58 seconds and better within the first two laps that by the time I hit p8, p7 is 20+ seconds away and I'm close to being lapped. I mean, I'm a crap driver, particularly compared to you, but that's a bit silly... Second question is your fuel mileage is fantastic; any tips? Same setup and I have to refuel 4-5 laps sooner than you did...

Try this on ai easy, leader does 57" laps and just buggers off, a glitch there. I did it on expert tho, ps4 + dual shock, and I'm old

I’ve gotten top p5 then p3 on that first race. Second race I had a better pit strategy but got pit maneuvered a few times by back markers. Even if I raced perfectly, the p1 AI is so fast. Not sure what to do about it
