Part of the game. Same as any other. You're not gonna win them all. Thats what I like about this guy SuperGT. He finishes the race regardless. That's how it's done. You learn to fight another day.

Steve, this one was so impressive. Qualifying is not your strenth, you're not slow, but there's definitely people faster over one lap, although with enough practice you've proven to be able to slap in on pole. But usually you're somewhere between P4-10. But then comes the race. That's where you excel, making moves most of us can only dream of making them stick so often. You got sent to the Shadow Realm making the move of the month in this race, but came back and became the fastest dude on track. The Racepace of yours is something I need to learn! It's not just this race, it's something we can see in most of your videos! Keep doing this!

I did the same as you Steve and had one go at 14:00, Managed to Qualify P2 & Finished P1 on a DR:A/SR:S Lobby! 161 Points in the bag and feeling very pleased with myself. There are only so much available hours in the day, and some drivers really put a lot of time and effort into GTWS. I personally hardly have the time to maintain my modest DR rating in the dailies as I need the hours to get the consistency and confidence. Great video! The great Manufacturer's Cup race at Deep Forest Reverse in 2024, marking this grand event as the day i shall be telling my grandchildren of, when Uncle (or... Grandad) Bob got MORE POINTS THAN SUPER GT 😮😅😂🎉 Well done though Steve, I'm actually glad to see you do one of these without practice, a race that didnt go to plan and still showing you learned from it and stuck it to the end. God, when the Genesis let you through at the 12min mark, he was indicating RIGHT, letting you through ON THE RIGHT... That really infuriates me because it's the DIRECT OPPOSITE of direction you're supposed to be indicating when letting someone through, you're not meant to indicate towards the direction you want to be passed on, you're supposed to indicate towards the side of the track YOU will be on so the car behind knows where you'll be. I had a situation like this a couple years ago in GT Sport where I indicated left but to my surprise got overtaken ON THE LEFT and ended up in a hideous accident. How to tell someone doesn't have a license.

The AI on the Nordschleife indicates correctly when it's letting you through, goes to the left side of the track, indicates left, and vice versa.

I have a question that if someone could answer it I'd appreciate it. Right now I mostly play Assetto Corsa/Competizione, Dirt Rally 2, RallySimFans RBR and occasionally Automobilista 2 and I've been thinking about picking up a PS5 specifically for GT7 as it seems to be a fairly good sim racer, but one aspect of the game that I've noticed while watching these videos that I really don't like is how when someone spins out/crashes a car it then almost instantly becomes incorporeal so that other cars can pass through it unharmed. I'm personally of the opinion that opponents driving poorly or making mistakes that can end up affecting you negatively is just part of racing that needs to be accepted and would prefer to leave that added element of danger in the game. Is there any way to disable that feature? I'm not saying it's going to stop me from buying the game if there isn't, but I personally prefer racing sims to really stick to the core ideals of what a sim is in spirit meant to be, a simulated representation of real life, which to me includes the stuff that could be annoying or race ruining.

The Mercedes SLS AMG was codeveloped with Chrysler's Dodge Viper back in the Daimler Chrysler days. The Amg Gt was an eventual evolution of the SLS so they still share some design similarities.

Great video! I did this race as well, also in the Merc. Got damage and P9 in slot one. Crashed on L2 in slot 2. But in slot 3 i managed to put it on pole as the lowest ranked player in the lobby en pulled away and won! My first ever official event win!
