5:22 Actually the EG Civic that was added in the last update had an Integra engine swap right off the bat. Speaking of engine swaps, this update has some decent ones as the M4 and E92 M3 has the Z4 GT3 swap. The 89 M3 Sport Evolution has the B58 swap from the new Supra, which is essentially a BMW engine. The Alfa Romeo’s V6 is a new engine swap that can go in the Mazda Atenza and Hyundai Genesis. The 2005 Mini Cooper and 1999 Honda S2000 have Honda engine swaps too.

The E30 not-quite-M3 did actually come with an inline 6, but only in South Africa. South Africa never officially got the E30 M3 and CEO of BMW South Africa wasn't happy about that, so they made their own E30 M3 with a 200hp I6. They weren't allowed to call it the M3, so it was called the 333i.

Don't know about you guys but for me, the RUF is the highlight of this update. It just feels so planted and track-ready. The Genesis VGT was just as bad as I was expecting it to be so no harm done there. The Subaru and the Scuderia have both been a blast in the time trials, but its something about the RUF that makes me keep choosing it for events.

In recent years, RUF have devised their own completely bespoke chassis styled to look like a classic 911, kind of like the opposite of a Singer 911. If Porsche have allowed the RGT, I really, REALLY hope the bespoke RUF makes it in. 2016 MY 911 would mean it's the final year of the 991 pre-refresh; that generation saved a lot of weight because they moved to an aluminum chassis among other tweaks. The subsequent gens have made all kinds of advances in aero, stiffness and drivetrain, but they've gotten significantly heavier. Basically that gen seems like the best modern 911 platform for modifying- it's as if Polyphony know what they're doing 😝😝😝

The kit in this is very similar to the super trofeo kit (what Dave has) tbf, the wing is different but the rear bumper is the exact same and the front bumper is pretty much the same

the E36 didn't "introduce" the 6 cilinder to bmw, the regular E30 had a 6 cilinder option, but for the M3, it would be too heavy to make the car actually competitive so they used a 4 cilinder instead, M3's started to have 6 cilinders in the E36 generation, but the 6 cilinder in the 3 Series and BMW as a whole already used them a long time before that

8:37 the physics change is just making the steering and overall feel more sensitive and there’s more under steer other than that they broke the suspension on the all the new cars without tuning it will do this the cars are literally un drive able without tuning the ride height camber etc also a few cars due to the new tires and how they behave have been buffed in PP so cars for say the 700 pp race will now be over 700pp and need to be detuned

something weird is happening on the tokyo track, felt like a little bump has been added just before the wall crawl and it felt like the car was turning by itself to follow the driving line. last night did the grind a few time with clean race, today i had to restart a few times as it kept turning it to the traffic on the first bend and lost the clean race bonus. 😢
