Gran Turismo Concept Mitsubishi Airtrek Special Edition Gameplay

I finally managed to get my hands on a copy of Gran Turismo Concept Mitsubishi Airtrek Turbo Special Edition not long ago. After seeing it for sale a handful of times in the last 10 years (yes, ten years!), and missing out on it each time, I got to buy it at last. So, this is the first time I'm ever playing it right here, with you guys.

Well that depends if you mean a standard levorg or the btcc winning levorg of Ash Sutton 2017 ? The former , yes very lame. The latter quite the contrary, its not every year we see an estate win a racing championship

Great video, Matt. One thing i noticed after checking footage of both 350Z and the Copen demos is the fact that the Airtrek one doesn't seem to force a one lap race regardless of the difficulty chosen (unlike the aforementioned demos). I suggest trying the other difficulties as maybe the reason could be the ace difficulty not being optimized for this demo. Also, after checking my copy of the Tokyo-Geneva version of the game, I can confirm the Airtrek being present in the complete version.

Good vid. The only criticism I have with this video is that the demo has a 16:9 option and you forgot to set it to 16:9.

That timelimit is pretty lame. Why limit the playtime when the content is already very limited.

I think the end of race screens might be messed up as I’ve seen in other demos so they put the laps up and limited the time so you purposely couldn’t finish to see the unfinished state

I don't think that's the reason of the strict time limit. The bugged result screen theory is, however, true for some GT3 demos (Pal OPS2M and US Standalone demo), where, by removing the time limit, you can find a unfinished result screen where both car names and time are misplaced. The 350Z and Copen Demos, also based around the 2001 Tokyo Concept and with a time limit, actually force a 1 lap race regardless of difficulty, allowing the result screen to be visibile (Same of final version). This restriction isn't present in this demo (if it was, the time limit would have been increased like the Copen Demo), but I Think the result screen is fully working, just hidden.

I think the limit is cause it was really to give like customers a quick taste of the car they're looking at, for example at a motor show. When you have a queue of people waiting to drive the car, you kinda want to set a time limit so multiple people can try the car out. It wasn't really mean't to be a game.

This is pretty cool! I have the Ralliart Edition Airtrek Turbo R and with the much-improved bumpers and side skirts, the car looks significantly better.. Nearly "aggressive" haha and that's saying something for a people carrier with a sneaky evo hidden beneath. Looked a bit slow on screen, but, in real life, they're a lot of fun to drive! Great find and item to add to your collection!

The colors for the car are Palmer Red, Nayez Blue Pearl, Amethyst Black Pearl, Avant Gray Metallic, Exciting Gold Metallic, Satellite Silver Metallic and Silky White Pearl II.

I have the literature for the 2002 year, I should check to see what they called them in the brochure too. Some trim levels had pretty funny names.. The "Casual" was a good one haha

It's Nayez Blue Pearl. Popular color on Mitsubishi cars, in GT3 you can even have special Lancer Evo V with this color

It is the JDM version of it, though it came out first and had a unique front. Since 2003, there has been a Sport Gear version of it with the Outlander front. This particular Turbo R model has the same engine as the Evo, albeit de-tuned.

when Mitsubishi made the ASX as the new Airtrek, i was hoping there be a high performance version but knowing this shit manufacturer, they only gave Ralliart liveries and front fender only
