@sprolyborn25543 жыл бұрын
@@IAMWXMAN well that depends on how its being run doesnt it? you wouldnt have to run a big V10 very hard as compared to a small twin turbo'd engine needing to rev itself out to make its power. in such a situation, the V10 would be burning less. not to mention the V10 making its power so low in the curve means that the fastest way to drive it is to short-shift.
@IAMWXMAN3 жыл бұрын
@@sprolyborn2554 as a viper owner I assure you it gets terrible mileage no matter how I drive it. In short a large displacement 2 valve per cylinder engine wasn’t designed to be the least bit efficient, only what it had to to be legal. I’m not saying it couldn’t win a gt sport race, but it’s a pretty well known joke round the viper and car community as a whole that the viper in stock form is a pig for gas. Not here to start comment wars, just here for laughs and memes.

Steve you gotta get used to using 2-3 fuel setting on a Fuel Saving race. You can’t just go Gung-Ho all the way with fuel setting 1 and then just fail miserably in the last 2-3 laps and let everyone pass you. I’ve learned a lot about fuel saving with Group C cars on De La Sarthe. You go to fuel setting 2-3 for 2 to 2 and a half laps and from there, that’s where you can go full Kamikaze, setting good and fast pace, and gain 4-7 positions.
