This video captured the feeling of standing around the engine bay of a resurrected car watching it idle while drinking a brew. Never thought about it till this video came on, but it's one of the greatest feelings.

She does sound very nice when you started her up. Keep her away until all the road salts have been washed away. Hope you had a good Christmas mate 👍👍

I remember these been everywhere in my youth. My friends dad had one with two tone paint work. It was blue and silver if I remember correctly.

Recently subscribed to you channel after seeing your beautiful granada on furiousdriving. Brings back memories of my father's granada 2.8 ghia x estate he owned in the 80,s ,he had engine rebuilt blueprinted &Weber carbuarter. Still think won of the most elegant estate cars ever made.

A great credit to you Mr Coleman. This is a genuine classic. A car to aspire to in 1984/85. A credit to Ford for keeping it in the range right through to the Scorpio Ultima. Any snobs who poo poo the Granada or Scorpio V6 have (a) never driven one and (b) never looked at the quality of the interior Personally I could just listen to the 2.8 all day long and just admire the lines. It wasn't a big Cortina, it looked nothing like a Cortina. As for the Alfa 90 I have only ever seen it in pictures and I am still coming to terms with the fact that you own it.

Thank you mate, could not agree more... For me, the only 70-80's ford to be gathering its following and classic status honestly. As for the 90..... well.... I'm still coming to terms that I now own one.....

That's one clean car. It must be about the same age as me (1982?) and looks in much better condition. Hope you get a chance to get her and the Alfa to some shows in 2021

Hello , is not ok to accelerate when the engine is cold, you can damage . Is an injection or a carburetor engine?

I have a question and hopefully someone on here can answer it. When the ignition is completely off and you move the auto gearbox from P to R and N is the gearbox inhibitor relay surpose to click from up under the passenger side foot well as my battery keeps getting drained so when the ignition was OFF I removed the multi plug from that relay and it clicked therefore telling me that its coil is staying energised. Now since 1997 I've had 3 Mk2 2.8i's but have had no reason to have any problems so was just wondering is this normal or not. Thanks
@therubbishmechanicmrcoleman4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure mate as mine is manual. Any auto gearbox car should lock into park when you have placed the selector in p and removed the key...
@johnny14084 жыл бұрын
@@therubbishmechanicmrcoleman yes mine does but if I remove that relay and turn the key then it wont start but,,,,,, when the ignition is off for some reason that auto box relay is staying energised because it clicks when I pull the plug from it.

The last great Fords in the UK.To think how many ended up on the banger tracks which were probably still good to go.

Can you run these on unleaded or do you have to get hardened valve seats
@therubbishmechanicmrcoleman4 жыл бұрын
OK on unleaded

Thankyou.my dad's just bought one and he wasn't sure
@stephenflint52094 жыл бұрын
If you do a lot of miles it would be best to get hardened valve seats. I use a lead additive in mine. The Cologne 2.8 wasn’t made to run on unleaded until after mk2 production ended.
