They aren't the same company imo. Totally different priorities and ethos. Loved Audi during the period 1978 - 1994.

Last Audi I would drive would be an A4 B5 or A6 C5. Audis after this period are just awful crap

Thank you for posting this. Had a 1990 V8 quattro years ago and it was an awesome car. It also proved to be very well built as well as reliable. The automatic transmissions were said to be troublesome but we regularly service the fluid and filter and never had a problem. It had more than 160k miles on it with the original transmission before losing track of the car. (It was sold to the father of a friend and was eventually traded)

I own a 1991 Audi 100 2.3e C4, we have it in the family since 1991 😄. Before we used to have a 1982 Audi 100 CS 2.0 diesel C2 followed by streamline Audi 100 CC 2.0 diesel C3. All are 5 cylinder engines and were bought brand new... great cars and reliable.

2024 год я смотрю это видео и мне жалко что ушли по настоящему шикарные автомобили с душой,мне не довелось поездить на этой шикарной ауди v8,но могу представить какое удовольствие испытывали владельцы этого авто!)просто легенда😊

Love how it's presented as engine with a car around it. If you asked Germans back then which car to buy they'd suggest the engine first, like BMW's inline 6 with distribution chain.

The V8 quattro means so much to me. It's like a member of the family. Great car, I wish it was a manual, but the auto is a cruiser like most automatics of the era. More gears would be great. Lots of cool and unique features in this model! K never liked the wheels though or the lack of a rear sway bar on non sport suspension models. The big BBS mesh wheels with sport suspension and a manual is the ticket! DTM is also impressive. Thanks for posting!

This was the last real generation of Audi, from the early 80s to about 1998 was the sweet spot for them, where they were well specified, carefully designed and exceptionally built. Today they are just a mish-mash of Skoda/Seat/VW chassis and parts, where a V8 Audi is no better built or designed, in subjective terms, than a budget Skoda. A shame. Top video though.

B5 was the last real Audis imo :P Designed in the 90s but built as late as 2005 (Passat)
