When Tranmere were on the verge of getting to the premier league for a few seasons. It seemed like they were close to getting promoted every season for about 3-4 years. Look where they are now. The dangers of mismanagement. Least they’re back in the league.

Didn’t Leicester and Bolton swap places in the premier league at the end of that season?? Good to hear Jimmy Greaves on commentary as well. Wonder what happened to Kalac?? He certainly didn’t inspire any confidence in his defence at that corner for the first goal for Bolton!!

Yes. Bolton finished Bottom of the Premier League & were relegated with QPR (19th) & Manchester City (18th & Pre-Abu Dabi cash) while Leicester City finished 5th in the Endsleigh League Division One (nowadays Skybet Championship) & promoted back to the Premier League via the play offs beating Crystal Palace in the final at Wembley Stadium.

Kalac went on to play one game for Australia at the 2006 World Cup - in which he dropped another howler! Spent four years at AC Milan as well in the mid-to-late 2000s, which I'd forgotten about completely.
