I've read and watched a lot of content and by far, yours is the most beginner friendly, even after 3 years. I still have no clue on what I'm doing... but no problem

Started off playing Granblue Fantasy VS, then decided to finally give the mobile game a shot a few weeks ago. I used to play Puzzle and Dragons religiously back in high school, and this is the first mobile game in years that's given me the same feeling. Your guides have been a HUGE help for me. Thanks for all the work you put in to help out players like myself.

I'm not a freshly spawned beginner but this video is very helpful! Plus, I think even players who have been playing a while find stuff like this great to watch, because even if they've been in the game for a while it's quite complex and there are definitely stuff they could be unsure about, and this definitely sheds some light on those things. Nice work! :)

Your original guide was linked to me as a new player and it helped me a lot. Always good to see more helpful videos out there. P.S. would you ever consider making an intermediate grid guide that goes over seraphics, what buffs especially important to certain summon/grid lineups, when to bring damage cap, what key to put on an ultima or opus. Things that a player who has been playing for a few months may not have picked up on. Apologies if you already made a video like that.

thank you so much for this guide I appreciate you taking the effort to redo it I have a question that's probably been answered by you before but I'm not sure exactly what video it was but I'm hoping someone in the comments can help too: With gacha weapons/weapons in general, if you get duplicates what do you prioritise? Do you uncap them or put them in a grid?
@btris36742 жыл бұрын
I know im late but....If you get two copies of the same gacha weapon don't immediately uncap it, unless it's a very op weapon. There are some weapons that increase your overall demage in a grid without being fully uncapped. I suggest this, if you are going thing to use that weapon for your grid (and you are 100% sure of it) first level it up to lv 40 and max level the skills, put in your grid and see the difference in overall stats. Then you should decide, based on what you are looking for whether it's worth it or not. It also highly depends on the weapons skill, and summon you use to boost them. Let's say, most of your weapons in your grid have omega skills, and you use a summon that boosts omega skills, if that specific weapon is a different type of skill, it won't really make a huge difference. You should judge depending on the type of grid.

Jesus christ it feels like im taking a college class when im researching about this game. I just want to play with cute waifus... Thanks for clarifying

I was literally thinking the same thing, I am a phd student and I was looking for a mindless gatcha to play just as a break, it turns out this freaking game requires just as much research and brain squeeze as my phd studies lol, I still love it tho and yesh thanks for the video
@Ignacio.Morales4 жыл бұрын
I dropped the game like a year ago because I always complained to myself that I wasn't doing good damage even though I was able to solod some Omegas. I actually never understood how the weapon skills work and what thing I should focus first, if the weapon lvl or skill lvl.

I'm confused on the why too much of one thing is bad. Is it because there is a cap on your max damage so some of that bonus goes to waste?
@olroxsuit4 жыл бұрын
Something that might be interesting to also mention is weapon types? I know charas benefit more from weapons that fit their specialty, and i assume the same goes for the MC's class, so I'd like to know how important you would consider that overall? Would it be wise to sacrifice a weapon slot for an Atma/Ultima or a Cosmic weapon instead of smth like, idk, a III elemental boost from a Grand weapon?
@risalerza58774 жыл бұрын
thanks for the video, I'm still at level 60 and only playing in sidestory mode (because this mode rewards weapons and summon) is that a good move? or am I doing wrong? Thank you in advance :)
@Sicacast4 жыл бұрын
Side stories are worth clearing eventually to pick up things like premium draw tickets. However for your overall progression in the game, the best move is to progress the main story and unlock things like the omega raids. Those will provide the Omega/Magna weapon and summons, those weapons and summons are much more worthwhile for you than the side story weapons and summons. Side stories are primarily for you to enjoy the little stories themselves, and pick up some draw tickets.

@@Sicacast hmm ok i get it, but i only have a few ssr characters, is that all right? oh yaa in the sidestory they give ssr characters too, is there any good one to use?
@Sicacast4 жыл бұрын
@@risalerza5877 Only a few SSR characters is fine for clearing the early parts of the story. You will get more over time. You can refer to this tier list to get a general idea of which characters are good gbf.wiki/Character_Tier_List The free SSRs generally aren't the strongest relative to other SSRs but SSRs are almost always stronger than SRs and Rs so if they're the only SSRs you have, then you can go ahead and use them.
@loquatmuncher4 жыл бұрын
There are a couple ssrs that i remember really helped me out when i was first getting started. Those were aquors second years, sandalphon, pecorine, and kokkoro. I'd say they're worth getting if you dont have any ssrs.

i might have missed it in the video but i was curious if there was a % cap from weapon skills? like i have 9 of the same weapon skill that equal 200%, is there a cap that will only allow 100% of it to be calculated instead of the full 200%?
@Sicacast4 жыл бұрын
There isn't a cap, more is better. It gets more complicated when you get into the details of the damage formula, in that several bonuses are multiplicative rather than additive. An attack skill + a Stamina skill is a higher total bonus than two attack skills for example. If you want a more detailed explanation I made a damage formula video on my channel.
