Cygames has the tools to really turn this into a franchise and become the next Tails, or FF series. I hope there is a sequel in the works already. Can not wait to start playing this in February, I've waited a long time for this.

Man, this ain't no Tales or FF. If you're expecting a fun substantial single player experience, you're not really gonna get that. A good chunk of the game is padded out with mindless MMO-esque or MH type of quests. It's a pretty game that's going to get repetitive and boring real fast. It pains me to say it, because I too have been waiting years for this game...

I'd be genuinely surprised if it scores higher than an 80 on Metacritic. Too many mediocre elements dragging it down. Really wish Platinum was more involved they were, since they have a better sense of what makes a game truly great. Can't rely on a mobile game company to deliver something worthwhile and with depth

From what I've seen in other videos (Specifically @HavianCritDmg), you unlock characters by progressing through the story mode. There are these character unlock tickets that you earn that you can redeem to unlock those characters. Who all is available when you obtain one, I'm not sure about, but check Havian's youtube channel as he has a 2hr livestream showcasing the first two hours of the game.

MC/Gran+djeeta instead of having all classes, just evolves to using all of the lesser skills as a super novice like the voiced skin you can get in the browser game. Otherwise, they'd have to make the MC 35+ characters per gender off advanced classes alone like Relic Buster (when you get a society weapon and armor like Zeta and Vaserega) and Glorybringer (offensive paladin where every sword you wield gives you a unique skill and passive)

They really brushed up the character models, since the last time they showed Narmaya on stream, she didn't look this cute and expressive haha (I'm surprised at how beautiful her win pose 09:30 turned out) Btw, I hope there will be an option in settings to turn down the volume of teammates' voice. I think I can stand JP dub because I don't really understand Japanese, but it's just annoying listening to EN dub, they talk too much! But in general, it's a really beautiful and polished game, I can't wait for my copy to arrive~ (Worth the wait, Relink's been in development hell for so long... I'm so glad. Now please add more primal character as DLC! I need Noa, Yuni, Europa, Yggdrasil in Relink! Actually, any floating character is fine...)

Probably a mix between monster hunter and the tales/final fantasy series. But also it takes a ton of the mechanics for Dragalia Lost which was cygames and nintendos phone arpg for a time.
