Sandalphon has gone a long way from where he started. Originally the reason he has such colorful wings was because he Forcibly took them from the other "Angelic" Primals, essentially ripping their wings off. Now, they were willingly given to fight against a greater evil after he was "Redeemed".

So Sandalphon is ... complicated. There are actually ... 4 characters that look exactly identical but are different entities: Lucio the Speaker of God, Lucilius the Astral Researcher who was moddeled after Lucio, Lucifer the leader of the elemental archangels created by Lucilius and Sandalphon a "replacement" for Lucifer in case Lucifer dies for some reason. As Lucilius deemed it improbably of Lucifer dying at any point he wanted to dispose of Sandy. Sandy overheared this plan and went mad, was imprisoned and at some point gets released and steals the wings of the 4 elemental archangels. We defeat him (after which point he actually manages to kill the MC by pushing him off the cliff only for you to be rescued and revived by Bahamut (again)) after which point he is imprisoned by Lucifer. A short time after Lucifer is actually killed by other entities and Sandalphon has to take his place and takes over his memories and purpose and actually joins your crew as a barista (yes, just go with it he REALLY likes coffee). Later the entities that killed Lucifer graft Lucilius head on his body and revive him, creating the entity we fight in Relink. The other two characters are part of the Eternals, basically self proclaimed keepers of justice and peace who are insanely skilled with their respective weapons. Their mere presence in the world forces potential villains to forgo their villany because everyone knows they would have no chance of fighting them. This conundrum is actually part of current GBF Events. They are potentially your allies and crew mates but are extremely tedious to unlock (they have to be unlocked "F2P") and only start to really shine once you invest months worth of grindable resources into them in order to unlock all their potential. Seo is the sword master while Tweyen is the archer. Her default skills are "dodge the next attack" and "vomit all status effect available in the game onto the entire enemy team" (including straight DEATH) which makes her using debuffs in her kit quite logical.

Devs said 1.2 will be adding a couple new quests. They said it isnt more difficult than Lucilius but it will have a different "direction of difficulty". We'll probably see more in the April Showcase.

I have a rare opinion on this, but if an item gives a power advantage it should neither be 100% RNG nor paid. There needs to be a specific guaranteed way to acquire all power related items outside of luck or money.

⁠@@tiagoesteves686it’s more on knowing where to farm, i have around 80 hours on relink and about 30%of those is just afk farming (mostly Extreme first 10-15 day or so 💀) and 10% actually afk not doing quest or anything after getting good enough sigils and weapon upgrades i do mostly terminus, fortitude stone farm and afk farm maniac diff then transition to proud afk farm after upgrading main party gear i have 3 war elementals now within a little over 3 weeks since i start playing and i haven’t even really been playing/afk farm the last 2-3 days, maybe just an hour of playtime

@@jg3936 Still effects grinding. I'd rather be able to skip phases for a 2-3 min fight rather than a 5+ min fight tethering on getting wiped every time. Also effects how you play the character. It'd be really satisfying being able to pull off full charged Flowery Seven or Setsuna if they actually deal higher damage than uncharged. Ferry SBA bot feels like Spread HBG, too good to not use it and invalidates other style when you're going for speed but it's more boring to play.

Assuming characters really are free to earn, and Lucilius doesn't end up being some crazy min-max monster when it comes to DPS checks, the War Elemental sigil thing isn't a big deal. You hardly need War Elemental to clear anything in this game with ease. Like, I don't think most of the Proto Bahamut speedruns that happen in pubs are with folks that have War Elemental, and that boss literally melts. In a series like Granblue where character releases typically define Cygames' stream of revenue, I would've expected the characters to be the paid stuff (like they are in Versus Rising), but I'm pleasantly surprised they opted for something else. Would people have really preferred Seofon, Tweyen, and Sandalphon be the ones behind a paywall instead?

The tetra-elements (tetra like tetris, 4) are the elements that aren't light and dark. So Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water. Sandalphon took over for Lucifer, a primal beast who looks almost exactly like the astral Lucilius. Fun fact about that: the Japanese names for both Lucilius and Lucifer would normally be translated as "Lucifer," but the primal is ru si fe ru, and the astral is ru si faa. There's also Lucio, who also looks exactly the same as both of the above, but it probably isn't relevant for this game.

I have a question. I have damage cap level 65 max out! I have the new gama and alpha damage cap sigils also maxed out ! My question is if you still increase attack ? Some people saying if you use Tyrann , Stamina , Life on guard you get more attack , because they all are attack % sigils. Is that true ? Or do you not get any extra damage if you have all damage cap sigils at maximum level? I have also 2 supply damage sigils. Close to max out

100% man, it's taking me forever to build up enough fort crystals to get all of everyone's weapons up to 150, 500xL's will be a huge help. And 5x Ambrosia will be a huge help in getting all those last 10% sections of all my character's boards that are like 600+MSP each node.

While I'm super hyped to see Sandy and to be able to play him in patch 1.3 the "pay for shortcuts" model does bug me a lot. They shouold ahve just stuck to skins and added costumes/ weapon skins for people to buy rather than introduce time saving item packs that almost every player will at some point be tempted to buy. It's a good model for them to make money but I think skins etc. would have been just as good.

I don't think adding the War Elemental is predatory. I think it's super unbalanced that it is indeed a best in slot mod and people can't get 1 after opening "thousands" of boxes. I only opened about 100 and I got 1. Also you can only get 1 of these via real world money so for the more casual players I'm glad they get to feel the power of a more complete build (only 1 at a time), than to grind for dozens of hours. Save that for maxing out masteries and weapons not farming for literally 1 mod.

Getting Lost Ark vibes, I want to give them money, I really love this game. But I don't care about any of the stuff they have released... costumes, new MTX for treasure chests at the end of the mission, or maybe weapon glow would have me drop some cash. Not a fan of War Elemental being purchasable for real money, I have a feeling the new raid is going to involve elemental weakness, and I'm guessing it's going to be mandatory to have it. If the April / May updates are similar, I'll treat it like Monster Hunter and back burner for it a year and revisit it when games are in a lull. Hoping the patch is actually a lot more than what they have announced, like rebalance, sigil melding changes, and QOL with the matchmaking. Still hyped to get a challenging fight though and revisit this game, I really enjoyed my time playing!

I don't mind the war sigil is 3 bucks with the pack. The game has been out for a while now so people could have just farmed it imo. I would find it predatory if the pack came when the game released

its a one time purchase so i dont mind. Ive been needing that 4th war elemental anyways to complete my AI team build. I dont understand when people say lucilius is lvl 200 so its going to be hard? proto bahamut was 150 and he was a joke. Will 50 levels really make that much a difference? Feel like with the way online match making is and the limited communication options the developers have added into the game its not going to be as hard as people hope it will be espeially after seeing some of the abilities he has in the stream. Block is just too strong.

Yup, block and perfect dodge basically stop me from ever getting damaged, I have to purposely try not to use block for everything because it's just too easy. Not to mention you can block while attacking and block while dodging

I can understand them selling the more rare unique sigils and I actually think it's a pretty good thing because there are people that have done thousands of curios and still haven't gotten a War Elemental, so it gives those that are unfortunate a pretty inexpensive out. On top of 500 L crystals which saves you at least an hour of tedious farming. My real issue with it is that I really was expecting there to be skins available and I was looking forward to those.

Honestly when I open 100+ curios in one i almost always get sup dmg and war elemental. Just be patient and save them up. Last time i open almost 200 curios i got like 2 or 3. Might just be lucky but saving them up feels better.

I would be excited, but what's the point of giving us more sigils to juggle, and no new weapon to grind. I love this game, but they had no outline for a roadmap for future content. Just throwing shit together.
