GBVS got me back into fighting games but then it became long to find matches. It had an amazing tutorial too. I'm hype because so much potential with unused GB characters as the previous game with DLC is the new baseline. Fall guys is awesome but also the story RPG news. I remember people loved it and they are including it as well as making a new story . I also remember you loving the game! Don't play GBF anymore but man they still have a lot of cool characters to draw from. I hope people give it another chance because most people I saw play it loved it but online killed their enjoyment.

Winter season is very busy for me at work, and I also got back into DS3 and MHW. So I’ve been spending my gaming time with that. If they give us a decent discount for owning the original GBVS and 2 more seasons, this is the best outcome we could possibly get. I hope more FGs start reusing assets on new releases like Smash, Tekken and KOF. The one scary thing is the possibility of competing with SF6 or Tekken, so I hope they can find a good release window.

It's weird. I ran away from SFV mainly duo to the terrible netplay, went to BB where I welcomed the somewhat good delay Netcode (I am in the EU most connections are not that far away for me) and then GBVS came out and I couldn't stand the Netplay. Loved the game, but for some reason the delay netcode in GBVS was so much worse than in BB at that time. I am glad they are doing this Update now, always wanted to get good with Yuel, all I needed was the motivation for it. Yuel, Djeeta maybe Metera again. Looking forward to it!

Sign didn't have an update to rev, but rev 1 to rev 2 you could buy as a dlc upgrade for 20 bucks yeah. Thing is the DLC chars didn't carry over though. So if you missed the free periods for Dizzy and Kum you had to buy em still even if you upgraded to rev 2.

Its most likely going to be its own new game as the director explained at the event that "Reverse engineering the game to add rollback would be the same cost as making a new game" so that most likely the direction that they went with when making Rising. If rollback is to be put into any game, the game has to be designed around rollback and not vice versa. Otherwise, you'll end up with what is happening right now with Rev2. THAT SAID, I genuinely want to hop in this game. It even has Roman Cancels now, just like SF6 and Tekken 8. lol And the open world lobby looks super fun as well. Its just so cool to see these fighting games try to outdo each other each time. The bar is being raised and that's a good thing.

@@ToseRoyal Rev2 was originally designed for delay based netcode. Meaning that the programmers had to reverse engineer the game for a long period of time to get a working build. Even then, the current version has tons of disconnects, freezes, and other bugs that will require more international stress testing on the behalf of players. If the game wasn't built with rollback in mind from the start, then this is the result.

Releasing GBVSR right after Evo would probably be the most business sensible deal to ride on the Evo hype and not compete with SF6. On another note, it would be sick if GBVSR added unique char changes to their aesthetics/gameplay during in-matches, like GGRev2 Ky's "hair fall/music" change during 3rd round or MBTL Vlov fire-ice element change from round to round.

I also hope it's really good and more games move towards this kind of inclusion. I play Phantasy Star Online 2 NGS and I always wanted them to collab with Sakura Arms (a dueling card game). They should get the game as like, a 25 dollar DLC and be fully included into the PSO2NGS game so when you're idling in town you can set up a Sakura Arms dueling card game table and other players can sit down and play with you. And then they should include a full fledged fishing game also! Like, total, full fishing game. I want MMORPGs to be so good that you log in and all you do is just play minigames all day. Kart racing, wrestling, fishing, hunting, wii sports, soccer, tennis, gwent, yugioh, etc. Log into GBVS, play only Fall Guys. :D

Final update was just a couple days ago. I want to say they want to let the game cook a bit before they release Rising (and to not coincide with other major fighting games so maybe they'll consider SFVI and T8.) My prediction is anywhere between April and June. I wonder if it would make it in time for Evo? I feel like people who bought all of the content for GBVS should get a fair upgrade, unlike what I saw with SFV: Champion Edition. I legit forgot to buy this on PC during the steam sales but I'm glad I did (my brother isn't happy tho lol.) Really hoping it won't be so expensive for anybody jumping in new since it is kind of like a big "Plus" version. (much like SFV --> SFV: CE) Still got the physical Premium for PS4. I wonder if I should just sell it. Mainly got it to use a code for the main game lol.

I'm excited for this! I fell out of love with GBVS due to the netcode/constant nerfing of everything...but, it's the game that pulled me out of a 5 year-long retirement, so it's still special to me. This is looking more like what I hoped the game could be, and my GBVS buddies are already hyped about the idea of playing Grand Bruise after an evening of long sets. I can't wait.
