So fun fact: I had a something in my script to call out SF6 and Tekken 8 during the "Archetype" part of the video. I was going to say something catering tot those games where archetypes don't really exist due to the mechanics making every character feel roughly the same. I ended up taking it out as I didn't want to offend fans of both of those games.

Been playing since release and I love this game. It's my first fighting game that I've really taken a liking to.

@@Xseleon it's honestly really great! The thing I mainly love about this game is how Every character is vastly unique. I have missed this element so much because the most recent fighters such as (Tekken 8, SF6.) have become something that have become to flashy and less FG substance. Granblue versus is something that is a a throw back to simpler times and I love it.

My goat makes his return. Honestly, I’ve been really wanting to try this game and I always forget about it. Seeing that neutral matters is so nice to me since I’m so used to the skipping nature of SF6, so I might me picking this up hopefully.

@@ThatOneGuy-22 bro! I'm telling you! You gotta try it! You will love it! Since you love rush down orientated characters I would recommend Lancelot, Beatrix, and both versions of Belial ( Avatar Belial is like Akuma. Has ridiculous moves and compensates for lower health). Granblue versus is such a gem man. The player base is still there too. I can only really get consistent matches in ranked however. However I love this game man. Neutral matters, there's character play styles, and it's really accessible to both new and old players.

@@SerFableKnightYT Dude I saw that clip of Beatrix you showed, and she looked just up my ally. I do seem interested by Narmaya because of her stance and her cool neutral, but hopefully I can enjoy most of the characters of this game. Hopefully I can get it soon so we could run a few sets.

@ThatOneGuy-22 yeah man I was going through a character crush myself before I settled on vaseraga. I was originally going to main Eustace as I found him the most interesting. However I kept forgetting his commands and junk. So then I wrote out a list of stuff I liked in FG characters and ultimately decided on Vaseraga.

It's no BlazBlue but it is good, if the game's annoyingly oppressive offence (dash lights ) got toned down a bit and defence a little better that would be great

@@TheMismatcher haha yeah! Now that I'm more use to the game I do thing dashing lights are rather overkill. Beatrix in particular is like the hardest character to get off you by far. She's the definition of oppressive offense.

@@RandomPerson28337 he's from Granblue Relink correct? I just picked up Relink, haven't started it yet. However I do think season 2 characters are gonna be Sadalphon, Seofon, Id, and probably maybe another guest. I just got into the whole Granblue series myself and am trying to learn the lore (there's so much!). Once I play Relink I think I'll have a better grasp on characters hopefully.

Lmao I dont love the oppressive offense of strive and cant find a character in sf6 i like. This seems like the perfect game but ughhh i just wish there was more of a player base

I actually remember getting in the closed betas with GG Strive. I loved Xrd and was hoping it would be really similar to that. However I found that game to be all flash, no substance. It's basically Counter Hit City in that game. Who lands the first CH literally wins. I don't find that enjoyable at all. Yeah same with SF6 I also didn't have a character and overall didn't really like how players could bypass neutral with drive rushing and drive impact. Felt like it made the previous SF entry's not mean anything. In Granblue as I mentioned in the video I love you actually have to play neutral and use your fundamentals.

I will say though i traditionally like zoners, but it can feel hard to keep a good amount of the cast off you especially with 22L. Still really enjoying but I donthink its still abit more neutral skip than something sf6 without drive rush

@ oh yeah you mean the 66L (Dashing Light). I will agree the dashing Light is pretty ridiculous with certain characters not to mention its plus 2 across the board. I actually main a zoner like character now. You can use the brave counter to get them off you, which I find very good for defensive situations. I would honestly say the most neutral skip character is probably Soriz. This particular character is just about going forward and his special moves are some of the most annoying to react to 😂

I know in the video I said I was maining Vaseraga as I found him pretty damn fun and easy to use. Funny enough 1 day after the video I picked up this particular character and found him to be the most technical imo and super fun. Now I main Eustace 😁

Thanks! Yeah I'm trying to get into it. Relink will be great to play as I heard it's a really fun game, and I've been reading a ton of lore on the races, characters, etc. it's really interesting so far. Oh on another note I actually changed my main after I made this video lol! So I'll probably make more Versus video showcasing my new main.

@@mauricio2085 yeah player base is pretty low. However there are still dedicated people on. Believe it or not I got my matches from just doing ranked. I'm not a big fan of avatar lobbies, so I try to avoid those. Ranked has been the most consistent for me thus far. Once season pass 2 characters hit, I have no doubt people will return.

@@SerFableKnightYT yeah that true, in my case at certain times of the day it is impossible to find matches and even more so if I start with a new character, it is a shame that this game having crossplay, good netcode and even a free version does not have the relevance or popularity than games like guilty gear strive but well at least I still think that it is a quite enjoyable fighting game and although I doubt that they will support it beyond season 2 at least you have a good time in the lobby's.

@@mauricio2085 yeah I totally understand. Granblue Versus to me is such a gem. It's a game where a lot of love and care went into making it. Unfortunately since its source material is relatively not to well known a lot of people tend to pass it and focus more on main stay stuff like Street Fighter, or Guilty Gear. Personally Versus has made me want to learn more about the Granblue universe. It has beautiful character artwork, incredible music, and really interesting lore. I really hope it grows to be a powerhouse of a series in the future.

@ I don't think the game is dead at all. There's quite a bit of dedicated players always on. I can only really get matches in ranked. However, it's generally against the same people. I now just hit S+ rank, I'm actually having more trouble finding people in ranked now XD. I have no doubt once season 2 characters hit, people will return.
