Grand Aston Cayo Paredon April 2024

My sister and I took a trip to this resort April 18-25, 2024, and had a great time!
Forgot to mention it in the video, but Cuba is experiencing some serious shortages, so I would definitely recommend bringing gifts such as medical items, clothes, etc. to give back. We received excellent service and gave away lots of gifts and tips in return.

Great video you guys. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem wirh me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S

Hey Steve - thanks for watching! There are elevators to get to your room. Golf carts are available but we only used them to get to the lighthouse, I'm unsure of whether they would be available to get to the beach or around the resort. The resort isn't too big in terms of walking around, and the only time you'll encounter stairs is getting to your room (in which case you can use the elevator). Sorry I couldn't help further! Perhaps you can reach out directly to the resort for more info :) hope you have a great vacation!

Just remembered as well - getting to the pool area involves a few steps (maybe 5 or 6). I don't recall there being ramps but I may be wrong.

Hey! Thank you for the video! We are going there this weekend. How much did you usually tip? You mentioned in the description that you also gave gifts. Did you give those gifts as a tip? It's my first time going to a place like this. :)

Hey! Thanks for Watching :) We brought US dollar bills and usually tipped 1-2 dollars at a time, for most things. I also brought some Canadian loonies and toonies but I think they prefer bills. I don't think they can use the Canadian coins so they need to exchange them for bills from other guests. In terms of the gifts, we just gave them to staff that we connected with and were of great service throughout the trip. I brought some medical supplies which I gave to the doctor on site at the end of the trip as well. Hope you enjoy your upcoming trip!! I'm sure youll have a blast :)

We didn't pay any extra for an early check in! Yeah it was a pretty good deal. It was with Sunwing but I got it through tripcentral.ca.
