@@AngelaCasale-x9s when I was there in November they were doing a alternation between the a la cartes and the Buffett. We had lots to choose from back then. I just got back from the One Gallery and I have to say that the a la cartes were better at the Grand Aston. Have a safe trip 😎🏝️🫶

I always look for resorts that require a lot of walking so I don’t have to go to the gym. Between swimming and walking I always shed a few pounds while I’m there. Of course I don’t have mobility issues so it’s not a problem for me 🙏🏼. I haven’t stayed on las Brujas, nor have I visited an Aston hotel. I have stayed on the main island over the past 15 years more times than I can count because I love the beaches there. Compared to Varadero, Holguin and Cayo Coco beaches they just seem superior. The beaches at Brujas appear shallow, compared to CSM beaches, maybe I’m wrong. This hotel is beautiful, the pool options ample. May try it out. Thank you. I love your videos and unbiassed coverage. You’re not selling anything you’re simply sharing facts. I like that.

@@debracook8859 correct I’m not a travel agent nor the hotel is paying to advertise the resort. The beach at the las Brujas is not as nice as the one in Cayo Paredon. At the las Brujas if you walk on the left hand side of the resort, that will take you in from the grand Serinis and the One Gallery where I’m currently am, the beach here is beautiful 🫶 Thanks for the feedback and watching my video. Great video Marco. Please tell me this. I have knee issues and going up and down stairs is a problem wirh me. Does this resort have facilities in place (elevators, ramps, golf carts etc) to help me get everywhere I might want to go? (ie: from room to restaurants, beach, pool etc..) Thanks so much, Steve S.

@@stevenschindler8342 there’s no elevators at this location and it’s a far walk to the beach. Yes there’s ramps pretty much everywhere and golf carts to help guest around the property. If you’re thinking about this resort I would suggest bungalow 1 to 5 in the first floor as it’s closer to the restaurants, the lobby and the main pool but farther from the beach. I just came back from the One Gallery. That location has some elevators in bungalows 1 to 7, some ramps all over the property and it’s closer to the beach. I also have an uncut tour of that property on my channel. P.S. the a la cartes were better at the grand Aston. Thanks for your question and watching my video. Let me know if you have other questions. I am here not got here today at 5pm I am in the adult section in am 10 minutes walking distance from lobby and buffet area thats crazy going back to my room its so dark in am not used to it specially being alone

@@AngelaCasale-x9s that’s one of the downside of that resort, there’s a lot of walking involved as I mentioned in one of my videos. I didn’t mind it but if someone has reduce mobility it could be an issue. Cuba is very safe so nothing to be scared about !!!

I've been to Grand Aston 5 times and stayed in bungalow 12 every time. I timed the walk to the lobby at 4.5 mins. So on average it's a 5 min walk at best.

@@randylarock1014 that’s about right. I was in bungalow 11 and by taking the staff only walk way it was 4 to 5 minutes. If your at the Buffet,the main pool or bungalow 1, to 5 for example, it’s just a long walk if you want to the beach 🏖️ thanks for your comment and watching my video 😎🏝️🫶

It's been more than 5 years since I went to Cayo Santamaría, but as far as I remember, in Cayo las Brujas there was only the villa and to the right was Iberostar Cayo Ensenachos.

Salut Marco, excellente vidéo avec les 2 autres pour le même resort et la qualité de l'image de tes vidéos s'est grandement améliorée. Je suis justement supposé partir au Grand Aston pour 2 semaines à partir de ce mardi mais je vais probablement changer pour un autre resort ailleurs à Cuba. J'y étais aussi il y a un an durant le temps des fêtes pour 2 semaines et j'ai été surpris par la qualité de la bouffe en général dans les restos à la carte mais le buffet laissait à désirer ainsi que le manque d'oeufs au déjeuner. J'ai bien aimé les installations du resort, dont le gym, la piscine côté adulte et surtout la piscine infinity côté Fiesta. Cette dernière figure dans une de tes vidéos mais est-ce qu'elle et le bar à coté étaient ouverts lors de ton séjour? Je te demande cela car Ymnaybet, l'admin du site FB du resort, m'a confirmé que toute la section Fiesta est présentement fermée et le serait pour toute la période de temps des fêtes. Je vois dans cette vidéo que le resto à côté de la piscine qui sert le déjeuner et le lunch à la carte pour la section adulte etait aussi fermé. Pourtant l'an dernier, tout cela était ouvert. Je présume que le manque de la clientèle s'explique par la baisse de la demande causée par les récents blackouts. J'imagine qu'ils vont octroyer des passes à bas prix aux locaux pour le temps des fêtes pour faire augmenter l'achalandage. Je crois que c'est une autre raison pour changer de resort durant cette période.

@@magicmike009 thanks for the feedback much appreciated. My DSLR is a little tricky sometimes to bring out the best quality but on my last videos I think I figured it out 😜. As for eggs we had some on only two days, the first weekend we were at the resort. Keep in mind that most resorts are currently keeping an over stock in inventory for Christmas making sure they will not run out of anything to make sure the guest have a memorable stay for that period of time. In my experience there’s plenty to choose from during that period. Also in my experience for new years there’s lots of locals on site ravaging the buffets. During my stay the workers were managing the buffet as some locals were on site and they wanted to make sure they were not taking advantage of the buffet. It was the first time that I’ve seen this in cube, it’s usually a free for all. The fiesta location was close during my stay, you can see in my video that the water int as clear as it should be. Actually, I''m not so sure that they are "preserving" the food inventory for the holiday period as you say they are because I remember clearly that last year at this exact time, there were eggs in the buffet only for the first 2 days the week before Christmas and none thereafter. From what I saw from your videos, they now seem to have lots of variety of fruits and desserts, that is lot's of sugar and carbs but very little protein.

BTW, you were right about getting better deals departing from YOW instead of YUL. There is a great deal for Grand Memories Holguin departing from YOW this Tuesday for 2 weeks whereas it's more expensive departing from YUL.

@@ÉmilieSuttie-Morin yes. There’s one directly in the beach near the adult only section. You will find all the non motorized vehicles there as well. And there’s another one a little further done near the Aston fiesta section next to the beach so that one is not directly in the beach, maybe 5 metres away. Hope this helps. Dont come here , got bed bugs in the 11th block in the adult section, lacking food and im not one to complain about food . Waited four hours for towels and toilet paper . Had to chase someone down . The door wouldnt lock and had to wait for a repairman . Really enjoying washing my stuff because of bed bugs .

@@alexcray999 I was transfer from bungalow 3 to bungalow 11. This happened at the end of November. Someone mentioned about bed bugs but I was find. Just wondering if you were there during that time ??? There’s a lagoon near by which attracts lots of Miskitos. Would that perhaps be the cause ??? The last thing I want to do on here to to miss lead people but when I was at that resort I had great service, the a la cartes were amazing, the Buffet we had lots to choose from but we only had eggs for two days, towels were not an issue. Did you actually have a vape taken away from you? I was wanting to visit Cuba with my mom, she quit smoking years ago but she still vapes unfortunately.

@@tee6394 not on this trip but last month in Cayo coco they had a huge blitz. The reason why Canadian can’t come in with vapes is because THC is legal in Canada. In May of 2014 my GF didn’t have any issues but in July when I went to Cayo coco airport everyone was getting pulled aside. It wasn’t as bad in Santa Clara. I dont vape but my GF does. I will be retuning on December 20th so you can send me another message asking me if she was able to past thru the boarders.

@ yes sorry I was there yesterday afternoon at the Grand Aston. The fiesta location is still close. My girl friend and other of my friends don’t have any issues to cross the boarder with her vape. I would still recommend to be as discrete as possible when you enter with it.

@marcomillette4012 That is one of the problems or situations, when there is no demand, most of them are closed and deteriorating, but also to provide a good service it is very difficult and you need many employees.
