GRAND CANYON | The Window Seat

What happens when noted bowhunter Cameron Hanes, ultrastud Courtney Dauwalter and yours truly get together for a road trip to the Grand Canyon? Well, mostly hijinks and eating but a lot of running in the "Big Ditch" was involved as well. Follow along on our weekend from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon where we had quite the adventure and shared a whole lot of sweat, beer and laughter as well!

That canyon is sacred and your video appropriately pays tribute to its power. I attempted R2R2R alone 6 years ago, long before I was ready. It taught me humility, patience, and determination. It broke me down to my base and rebuilt me into an ultra runner. I love that canyon and I love this video.

There's nothing like the immense beauty of the Canyon and testing yourself physically while also having the presence of being a part of something timeless. You get a different perspective about everything in the Canyon. I agree with Courtney, how lucky to be there.

Great vid Billy. Have to say as a regular devotee to your podcast the latest with Cameron Hanes was a switch off for me. His argument early that he hunts for meat was plausible. When he mentioned his desire to kill a lion he lost me. Was he going to eat the lion?? No it was a thrill kill. What a hero. Cows are mass produced entirely for commercial reasons. Kill every cow in the world and ecosystems aren't altered. Kill apex predators or any other wild animal for that matter and ecosystems are effected. Seemed to me he was silky on the tongue and able to justify his killing to himself but if everyone did what he did what a sad world and barren world we'd live in. Peace
