I have ran out of adjectives to appreciate your videos. This video is pretty succinct. Canyonlands is simply out of this world. Two eyes and one life are not enough to appreciate the beauty of Southern Utah. Whole Utah should be declared as one National Park!

My last trip was in 2013 , i live in France (Corsica) , but i travelled in United State during 25 years now , even sometimes 2 times a year and it was always a discovery . Grand Canyon is one of my favorite place (7 times there) and the Southwest native land always source of inspiration ! I hope to be back someday , your are Lucky to live there !!

With some national parks, such as Canyonlands, it is absolutely necessary. Else, showing only the road will make one boring video.

I visited the Island in the Sky portion of Canyonlands a couple of years ago. About a 45 minute drive from Arches/Moab but well worth the drive. I just loved it, but prepare and plan ahead before going.

Last Summer I was in Moab and chartered a plane for the day from RedTail Aviation.We had the plane for about 7 hours (1 hour stop for lunch in Marble Canyon) spent 6 hours at about 1000 ft flying over Zion, Bryce, Arches, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef, and very upper Grand Canyon. I have flown over this area many times on commercial aircraft at 35,000 ft and always wanted to get low and really see the sites. Saw things it would take a lifetime to see from the ground, some things you could never see any other way. Saw Angels Landing in Zion from about 1,500 ft overhead! Had the former Head Ranger of Grand Canyon as my pilot, needless to say he knew his stuff. Not cheap, but it was a 'bucket list' thing for me. We had a six passenger plane for two of us and I can wholeheartedly recommend the whole experience. They call it the 'Mighty Five' tour, not a lot of people take it due to cost, but if you can swing it, once in a lifetime for sure.

antigonish63 Thank you very much for the information! So, did you fly over all those places in a single session? The Mighty 5 tour I found in the internet seems visit the national parks on different days.

We did all the parks in one day, with a stop in Marble Canyon for lunch. I just checked their website and I don't see the Mighty 5 tour, seem to have shorter tours that see a couple of parks at a time. I'm sure you could arrange for them to do this again though.Thanks for the videos, reminds me I want to get back out there!

Got to agree with Dayananda Srikantaiah ! By the way, why did you make this trip in the winter? (probably a question youve already answered sometimes but im eager to know)

At the time, Christmas and New Year were the only time I could take long vacation. One of the main advantages of winter vacation is much fewer visitors in the parks. This makes a HUGE difference, especially if you are visiting the more famous parks, like Grand Canyon, Zion, or Arches. Some parks (Grand Canyon and Zion) also run a shuttle bus service during the busier non-winter seasons. When the shuttle service runs, some areas within the park are closed to private vehicles and can only be accessed by shuttle only. In winter, however, these areas are open to private vehicles, making self-exploration easier. Also, I was born and grew up in a tropical country. So, being able to see snow is always special to me.

Hi, there. If I remember correctly, it took me 2-3 hours, not including the Mesa Arch. The Mesa Arch alone took about 3 hours in the following morning.
