Thanks for sharing this video ! This is one of my favorite drives, so glad there's another video of it on line! We first drove it in early evening when the sun was low in the west--the bright red of the rock contrasting with areas of shadow was great.

I did that route during my first visit to that area from England UK. Such a beautiful, scenic drive on route to camping in Moab. Love the whole South West.

I had the chance to road trip the southwest of the US last year, for the first time (i’m from Europe) and it was the most beautiful trip of my life. Your videos take me back there and make me want to go back and do it over and over. The feeling of being free, and admiring the beauty of nature...i miss this ... Thank you for the memories you bring back

What a pleasure riding along with you. I'm hoping one of these days you'll be making a video of how you've producing your videos, especially how you create the signs in MS PowerPoint (I haven't figured that part out yet unfortunately). Great videos and perfect timing for finding them as we are planning a trip out there this fall. Thanks for posting.

Found this road by accident on my motorcycle. Driven it 6 times since. Like the video I 70 to Moab is the best direction to go.My favorite road ever.

The Fisher Towers section of the Colorado is a great section for rafting. Also, along those last 2 miles or so of the gorge, on top of the cliffs to the south (left) side is the Slickrock Bike Trail. An intense and nuts mountain bike trail over weather worn slickrock formations. It's a lot of fun, and the views are hard to beat anywhere.

Thank you for this beautiful video. I live in Denver and have been to Moab a few times, but never along the 128 route. We are going to Vegas for Christmas this year and going to stop in Moab for a night so my brother, who has never been west of Silverthorne CO, can experience one of the national parks. We plan to hit up Colorado Nat'l Monument and then take the scenic 128 down to Moab. I cannot wait to see this in person.

I am glad that your epic video stories are back. We have been enjoying all the new Tour II episodes. We wanted to do the exact same trip in 2016 but it didn't work out. Thank you so much for these videos...we aren't missing much. The music selection is unmatched. Sooner or later you will hit your "Hotel California" moment of Tour II. For me, your greatest video(s) ever are still the "Golden Hour in the Inland Empire", and "Episode 13 - Capitol Reef NP".

This video might (probably will) make my "Video of the year" for 2017! I used to have a weekly delivery route to Moab from Denver (delivering to the City Market store). 128 is not a truck route, so I had to get off of I-70 at Crescent Junction and take 191 to Moab. I'd always heard about how absolutely beautiful 128 was, but never got the chance to experience it for myself. NOW I know what I was missing! Excellent video, it's already one of my favorites!

If you have the opportunity to drive 128 during the fall is the best time! Blue sky, redrock cliffs, the river and the flaming yellow of the cottonwood trees create a stunning contrast. Also in the fall the temperatures are cooling down!

I watched this video years ago. Yesterday (9/1/2022), I rode my bike this entire route. It was hot (100F) and getting there by bike to begin with was gruesome but it was worth it.

I live in Arizona currently but grew up in Grand Junction, CO. So been back and forth many times. We always take this road between Moab and I-70 because it is far less boring than the 191. I also go through Cisco because I'm a big fan of the Vanishing Point movie.

I love southbound of this road better than northbound as well. On our way home from Colorado to Utah, we bypass part of the I70 just to drive this road.

Always a pleasure to ride with you and awesome music, especially cello on the beginning. I drove this road twice once for white water rafting and second time from Moab on 128 to 191 south of Moab It was a kind of a loop through Castle Valley. I got lost in some tiny village on the top of the hills. I guess it was La sal road with four digit number. It was a kind of boring to Blanding. But later so much to see down to Mexican Hat.

You can actually do white water rafting in the river? The current seems to be pretty tame. Or is it a different section of the river?
@utahdan231
@utahdan231 7 жыл бұрын
American Roads It was my first rafting ever. The biggest rapids were class III. We were barley splashed. I'm sure Western Expedition still organizes it. My next one was Very serious 5 days on Colorado River. But my real "baptism" was Gauley River in West Virginia.

Yeah I haven't seen formations like that in real life. Very different from mountains here. It looks like instead of being built up, those were worn down initially I'm guessing and then built up with sedimentary layers.

Just another quick comment on the music. I love the music. You can avoid any copyright infringement by using creative commons music. Surprisingly, there is a good selection that you can get for all genres. Generally, you just have to give the artist credit and not take any ad profit.
