Taunts: All player or pet-generated taunts now have a shared diminish category. In addition, Taunt-type effects from pets and from classes other than death knight, druid, paladin, and warrior have been set such that bosses can be made immune to them while still affected by death knight, druid, paladin, and warrior taunts... They actually did this so you couldn't pingpong bosses around without anyone taking damage. TAUNT DOES HAVE DIMINISHING RETURN

It does have a DR and ... you can still spam taunt without triggering it to take back aggro. Learn to tank especially if you're a undergeared shitter.

I don’t understand. The guy who’s supposedly the raid leader told the other guy to stop taking aggro by attacking. He explained it calmly without being demeaning at all. The guy he told that to, got angry and kept saying “don’t tell me what to do, do something different instead.” After trying to explain what to do multiple times in a calm way and getting nowhere, he yelled at him. When he yelled at him, this other dude started going after him saying that he’s wrong for yelling?

It's a trend I've seen develop more and more often among players, then all of a sudden when the one *trying* to explain something goes off they suddenly become the target of "oh wow...why do you have to be so aggressive wanting things only YOUR way, control issues much?" defending the person who just refuses to follow instructions. I went through this just a few days ago.

So the raid leader/ the person who had the aggro problem is in the wrong regardless of how rude the gear tank was. Don't show up to the 2nd phase raid in phase 1 pre-raid gear. The moment you need to ask someone to change the way they play because you're not prepared for the raid YOU ARE IN THE WRONG.

Usually a tank can keep aggro. except when you have a second tank that does more damage. When that happens, you have to make SURE that the main tank is doing more damage than the off tank so that the main tank can hold threat. A lot of times how this is done is by asking the off tank to dps slower. If that doesn't happen, you will be forced to burn through your taunts. Taunt is only allowed to be used a certain amount of times before becoming immune.

looked like one of the guys had really high DPS.. but ya.. even in MoP i dont remember aggro being much of an issue.. until the very end when people were full mythic SoO geared.. and you ran into a tank who just hit max level that day and was running a heroic or something.. then YOU tanked and the actual tank ran behind you waiting for the free dungeon lol

Dude with low gear is correct when he is talking about the mechanic (diminishing return), but wrong in raging. If you all really wanted to kill the boss, there would be a civilized agreement, but because people can't admit they are wrong in any shape or form, you probably wasted a long time and nobody got loot. Best part is when it is mentioned that everyone is over 20, but it's obviously a kindergarten discussion.

Ah good ole Vengence something most tanks didn't grasp when tank swapping. The new tank comes with no massive buffs and the max vengence tank would just spam all their moves thinking they wouldn't pull off...

The tank has a point, a DPS should know when to hold back. You pull threat, you'll probably die, this is something that is taught early in the game. Likewise, the DPS is right in saying he was just doing his job. In the end I think the DPS was being egotistical, if they knew the tank was undergeared they should have been prepared to work with him. Blasting something with an machine gun and expecting it to look at the guy with a handgun is just dumb.

It wasn't the dps that was pulling off the tank. It was the other tank. Which makes it so funny. Evac (the undergeared tank) was NOT having threat issues with the dps, or healers. Only with the other tank. And only because of vengeance + the higher gear score of the other tank.

@@patrickohoolihan7033 Brewmaster should just taunt when the tank swap "Eye of the Empress" goes off when it's his turn to hold the boss, so he takes the tank swap mechanic and then if the other tank pulls off him it doesn't matter. As someone who did WoW progression for 10 years in the past, it blows my mind how toxic people get over something that doesn't even matter in the end. No profits, no lasting value, nothing. Wow. Glad I got out of it 2 years ago. That said, that guy at 15:56 is a fucking hero 😂

This is exactly why i stopped in cata classic, Blood DK's were OP as fuck. I taunted off them, they kept mass DPS'ing and pulling off of me. then "i know how to tank" lmao

The raid leader is entirely in the wrong and anyone who thinks otherwise does NOT play world of warcraft. The raid leader is so undergeared that he is causing proplems getting a kill and is getting toxic at the dude who carried him through the rest of the raid for literally no reason. The RL needs to look at what HE can do to keep aggro, IF YOURE LOSING AGGRO TO AUTO ATTACKS YOU ARE IN THE WRONG! This RL has no business being in this raid and is the actually toxic person in this video.

First off hes a undergeared bm monk in pandaria, in a place where pallies were the best tanks above warriors and dks. Get better gear before trying to tank. Dont blame the other tank.
