I've had a female GM that was drama free and chill. You could tell this GM would be a problem right away when she started calling the guy Christopher. The demoting because he was "Stealing gems" was her way of being petty and is just another red flag. Leading a guild is not for everyone myself included, but it's definitely possible for someone from either gender to lead it.

I used to be an GM from BC through Cata. Not trying to be sexist but the only times my guild EVER had drama was when there was a women in the guild. Somehow every single time I recruited a woman, it was only a matter of time before there was drama. Once the women was kicked, there was no more drama until another women was recruited. I have absolutely no problem with women outside of WoW, but after several drama incidents, I stopped recruiting women into my guild.

To be fair, a lot of guys online don't know how to act around women. You have to remember that guys who spend the vast majority of their time playing WoW aren't exactly swimming in pussy, and they can have a tendency to behave a certain way when a female is around. Some people immediately turn into white knights and start kissing up to her for brownie points, others immediately start tossing out "MaKe Me A sAnDwIcH" jokes, some guys just cut straight to the chase and start PMing her asking for nudes and shit. It's not always the girl that's the problem - a lot of times, it's some the fact that one or more guys in the group are socially inept virgins who flip their shit whenever a girl becomes part of the equation. Either way though, whether it's the guy or girls fault, I agree, keep women out of groups and you'll avoid the issue altogether.

@@killout18 Well, I am a woman 😂, but her attitude was really abysmal. I don’t mind you necroing this post because it brought back memories! Looking back, since this was years ago, she used to work at Subway and she was the manager there. She would come home and we would all be waiting for her on raid nights (this was in Cataclysm.) We would do Blackwing lair and whatever that raid was with Cho’Gall. Yes we completed them, but she was always SIGHING and moaning and groaning. I never did any of that, in fact I worked to keep us all together and push to complete stuff. I would also speak to members privately and fight emotional fires within the guild. I think every person is different. The temperament of the person is what really matters… the lady in the video reminded me closely to the behavior of my old GM. As far as women leaders go… there’s nothing like going over to Grandmas house over the holidays. Anyways, I hope you’re well and take care!

I've been in plenty of guilds that are led by complete manipulative psychos that happen to be both male and female. There are certain qualities a guild leader must possess to be an effective one. Some people have them, some don't. Has nothing to do with gender. I'm kind of sick of female generalizations in this game, as it really has an effect on my own experience because people judge me immediately just by saying a word in discord voice chat....exactly why I try to stay quiet as much as I can.
