My first concert! Opening act, REO. As the lights dimmed, the security started leaving. Joints lit up and were being passed around. We weren't old enough to buy beer, but we tired, and we were rewarded. The bartender didn't even charge us.The main act. Grand Funk Rail Road. This was in the Oklahoma city area. I don't remember the exact place, but I remember the concert. I was there with my best friend Jackie and a couple of others. Man it was GREAT! After the concert ended and the main doors opened the smoke just rolled out 🤣. Great time, great memories. Love you guys. Rock on 🥰.

According to the pre-performance arrangements, Grand Funk Railroad had to perform and be off stage by ‘midnight’ at 0:00am. Unfortunately, by the time the stage crew had removed the MC5 equipment and the Grand Funk Railroad crew had set up their equipment, it was already 11:30pm. The audience may have wanted to hear more Grand Funk before the power went out, but I don't think it was a case of Zeppelin being blown off stage - I think the GFR members' comments were not directed at the band, just at their manager. If Grant pulled the plug, what has that got to do with Led Zeppelin as a group! In other words, it's not Zeppelin's fault, it's the management's fault, and I feel that these things were unfortunately used as a good sales strategy for GFR after this. Not the best guitar player in the world but he is pretty good rhythm guitar player farner never really got noted for his playing what a shame 😢
