Чудесный номер. Семён Чудин как всегда, безупречен, Кристина Кретова прекрасна, интересная хореография. Спасибо за видео!

That was unbelievable. Such demanding choreography executed with ease. This was a performance for the ages. My warmest congratulations to all the dancers.

I really enjoyed the choreography, and also the music. Semyon Chudin is one of my favorites; and I thought Kristina Kretova was just fine. I would be interested in knowing more about the history of this piece, as I don't know it at all.

Yes, I recognized him. Like this dancer very much, there is something about his performance (I mean not only this one).

Ive always wondered whether critics ever enjoy anything they watch as they seem to pick things apart. Is it a habit???

I seem to be in the minority here since I like the music 😬 but I think we all agree the dancers are wonderful! Definitely some challenging choreography - three different fouette sequences for the female lead! An homage to Pierina Legnani maybe, since she danced the original role?

I my humble opinion, this is well danced. I would love to see it performed by what I consider to be the best partnership in ballet today - Marianela Nunez and Vadim Muntagirov - they are superb!

Bravo V.M. ! The choreography is far better than the music. And Chudin is one of my favourites dancers. But how could Petipa work with such a composer in the same city where lived Glazounov, Tchaikowsky, Minkus, Pugni and Drigo !!! Unbelievable !

Hi Pierre. I am surprised about the music comments as I absolutely love this music, it's so inspiring and bringing my mood up immediately. It's very ballet music.

Lovely ballet and interesting music, I've never heard it before so anything new is great. Not everyone's cup of tea but as a teacher and choreographer I'm always looking for new sources. Audience sounded a little subdued.

The perceived lack of audience enthusiasm may very well be due to poor microphone placement. I have seen/heard this on all too many taped videos.

Or the rather indifferent orchestra playing....
@stanislavfeco71 Жыл бұрын
Your are almost right - there wasn’t any indifference from the audience , just quiet opposite . It’s just not very successful editing from person who did it - he mixed original recording to guarantee best sound quality but than mixed it with poor quality sound applause from the theatre - you cannot hear here even those applauses during the dancing in coda or kind of fade in sound of applause which seems to be very strange like if the audience wasn’t reacting a few seconds after each variation- but of course it wasn’t that way. I was there that night so I know what I am talking about ☺️.

I'm glad they are not enthused, or at least not loud and applause-happy, that way the music can be easily extracted from the video😁
@mrlopez-pz7pu10 ай бұрын
@@stanislavfeco71 I think it's likely that this particular video was filmed without an audience, or perhaps one asked not to applaud during the dances. I am EXTREMELY pleased that the music was professionally recorded and that there isn't endless applause over it - I collect not only sheet music but also recordings of rare Petipa/Imperial-era ballet music and so the lack of applause makes ripping the audio much easier!
@StanislavFeco10 ай бұрын
Well I understand that it’s nice to extract this music - but unfortunately some professionals did it and they copied the choreography and danced it without permission .. and no , of course there was a audience as it was performed on Gala Dance Open .
