Have to restring a piano right now... very nice tool and easy to make... learned it a much more complicated way... so many good ideas and tipps on youtube....

Yes, this is a quick and dirty way to quickly drive in tuning pins. BUT It is highly discouraged. As a technician, we are trained to drive those pins in using a heavy mallet using only 3 to 5 strokes to get the pin to the proper depth. Make sure that you put a jack or support under the pin block support so you don’t stress it. Sometimes good work requires time and effort, doesn’t it

Could you please tell me the name of the tools u used for coiling -the socket with a leverage?? -that thing that you put the pins into for gripping?

How do you measure the distance to cut the strings of, see you are using a wooden tool to measure cut of length but how long is that tool or is it the same Length of a pin, so measure from the hole and then pin length/wooden tool length and cut off?

I learnt it's about 66mm from the end of the pin hole

Pin setter 안 쓰시고 핀을 바로 망치로 때려 박으시네요. ㄷㄷㄷ. 저러면 핀이랑 핀블록 손상가지 않나요?

@@etuner8432 영상 잘봤습니다~ 정말 능숙하게 하시는거 같아요. 윗분이 말하는거는 그 튜닝핀을 망치로 칠 때 힘을 완충 시켜서 핀이 손상되지 않도록 하는 툴 같습니다.. 저는 현전체 교환 1~2번 정도 했었는데 저는 망치로 전부다 해서 핀세터가 필요했지만 김요한님이 하시는 걸 보니 핀을 약간만 쳐서 대략적으로 고정시키는 정도로 만 망치를 쓰셔서 핀세터가 없어도 잘 진행 될 수 있는 작업으로 보입니다. 에어펀칭툴 저것으로 하면 핀이 사선으로 박히거나 해버리는 실수를 덜 할 수 있을것 같아서 매우 좋아보입니다. 감사합니다

it takes too much time, a T handle is perfect to coil and to tap on the pins lightly Use some masking tape if the gloves have holes I install strings from middle up, I was told it put the tension on the soundboard in better way I did round in cup shape the palm nailer plunge so it does not leave flat marks on the top of the pins. Excellent tool ! Regards
