Wow - this is the most complete description I’ve seen. Only thing missing was the tail length if folks aren’t using the (very expensive) wire cutter; 3”. I use gloves to handle the piano wire to prevent corrosion later. You can also use a swim noodle to protect the front of the piano against accidents.
