I think the central actors were Jeetendra and Shatrughan Sinha and the film was promoted in their names. Govinda and Neelam were side characters who would appear in the second half of the movie after a generation leap in the storyline.

Kudos to the channel for bringing out these amazing vintage bollywood times. It was an amazing period indeed. Movie stars life was mysterious and people were awestruck about them, the music, the classic fashion, decor. People seemed more real and grounded to the work that they were doing.
