It would also be really awesome if someone would do 3d tyres instead of the bitmap ones. But I guess this is not possible due to the limitation of the 3d engine, isnt it?

Ah, those kerbs. Lethal. Like bloody landmines at times! Still, you showed some excellent pace. WHO IS READY FOR A DULL BUT IMPORTANT PIECE OF HISTORICAL F1 TRIVIA? You probably noticed with the carset that James in now driving a Sauber sponsored by 'Broker'. This was a finance magazine that was meant to be the title sponsor of the team in 1994. However, they never launched the magazine and never paid Sauber a penny, leaving them with a massive budget shortfall. Mercedes stepped in to arrange a deal with Tissot for the rest of the year, but were so unimpressed that Sauber had gotten themselves into the situation that they decided their hopes of F1 success were probably best elsewhere, so they picked up the phone and spoke to Ron Dennis... and the rest is history 🙂

Thanks for the dull but important piece of F1 history. Didn't know that. (Still sounds better than being sponsored by Stake/Kick, tho) I guess the resulting empty space on the sauber Car was also how Red Bull stuck a foot in the door, since as far as I remember since 95 they started to look more and more like the modern RB team. I'm totally pulling this out of my A now, but I wouldn't be surprised if old Didi M. got a little discount after that "Broker" stunt.

@@cyberfutur5000what an excellent point! Broker Magazine might just be one of the most significant sponsorship deals in F1 history all things told.

Another great video!!! Love seasons from 90´s. Lots of names totally poor F1 drivers, 26 drives on the grid, etc. Great times!!!

26 drivers on the grid was the best, wish we could see that again.

Have you tried lossless scaling with this? Makes the game much smoother 👍

This is X86 GP2 (port of original to modern OS). It's already running at 60 fps on modern hardware.

It's just youtube that sometimes makes it look less smooth again. Put if you play it the x86version is buttery smooth 60fps

@@polo199199 I'm playing the x86 port and for some reason it just looks less grainy (menus etc) and slightly smoother gameplay with lossless

@@polo199199 It's only the Windows program that's running at 60+ fps, the original game logic and rendering is still limited to 25.6 fps.

ignore the idiots in the replies, you are correct its much smoother with lossless scalings frame generation enabled

James Early having a problem with consistency. So many mistakes that I'm not even sure he should have a career beyond 1994. Typed this before the retirement. Proves I'm correct.

Early days. 2/5 problem races and only a rookie. Still shows promise, just needs consistency that come with training and time. Enough time? We will see.

How come Ferrari are that bad? They were not so off the pace in 1994, third best car early in the season, probably second-best after Hockenheim.
@Lovi07Күн бұрын
well the carset he is using was made by fans all the way back in the beginning of the 2000s so the performances are probably very subjective.
@useruseruser789Күн бұрын
It could also be a couple of unlucky races with the randomisation. Ferrari still had the odd race in the midfield in 1994, particularly on the twistier circuits.

That chicane in the middle of the track and at the final ruined this track, if nobody had died this game would not have this neither this stupid wooden plank under the cars.
@KiroquaiКүн бұрын
The chicane James had his… er… ‘adventure’ at was part of the original circuit, it got removed for 1995. In 1994 they had a really slow tyre barrier chicane just before James crashed to slow the cars down. That isn’t in the game (thankfully!)
@redwolf1647Күн бұрын
@Kiroquai yes, I was with Estoril in my mind that it was a full straight, that chicane was original
