Nice watch and you got the spring drive which is a good choice. I used to be a huge GS fanboy but after the warranty service in the US screwed me over I no longer want to buy a GS especially if its the hi beat version. Service was horrible!

Ah, it is actually a tad looser on my wrist, maybe it has swollen up, I don't know. Nevertheless, one can never get an exact fit with these bracelets without micro adjustments, sadly. But mine fits pretty close

it hurt me when you put it down on the crown :) nice watch!

Actually, the side gets scratched way easier than the crown, because it is polished and crowns are usually not polished. Plus, it is a screw-down crown, so it is mounted on the case firmly and there is not way any pressure could be transferred to the movement inside :)
