Grand Terracotta Necklace set | How to make tassels | Full process | Detailed explanation

Note:

These crimp covers are based on the size of the crimp beads one uses. I have used a 1.5mm crimp bead and used this bit.ly/34zK93W crimp cover for it.

• CLAY I USE: Laguna red low fire earthen ware clay without grog. (EM106 or EM334 wards)
• Firing (Bisque) at cone 06. (I don't own a kiln, so I take my pieces to a pottery studio close by and get it fired in an electric kiln there)
• Wire used: Nichrome wire gauge 28 for stick beads and ghungroo beads; gauge 26 for earrings and 24 for pendants.

Thank you so much!! I use a nichrome wire before firing. Only for stick beads, ghungroo beads and u-pin hooks. After firing I use a gear wire or a tiger tail wire to assemble. Please don't confuse it. I have assembled the necklace using a gold gear wire (not a nichrome wire) .

Good question. So for smaller pendants/earrings and stick beads you can use gauge 26. But if you make medium or bigger size pendants, using a gauge 24 might be better so as to withstand the weight.

Thankyou so much I source them from India in bulk. But you can look up craft stores(which are cheaper for nylon cords)/amazon/madeinindiabeads/beadsnfashion. I use 3 sizes in nylon cords: 3-4mm, 1.5 mm both I source from India in bulk from a store called MK fancy in Jayanagar 4th block, Bangalore. The other size is 1.18 micro cord I buy it locally here: amzn.to/3xXCqZM

@@sourabhav.2615 Hello! I personally have never tried a method like that. But honestly in my opinion, a method of only a 30 minute firing might barely fire your pieces. It would be weak and brittle. That's my guess. So I don't think that method would work.
