Beautiful garden filled with my favourite roses and many roses already have. We have much warmer weather here and observe that Earth Angel balling if we prune alongside HT roses. Couple of weeks delayed pruning on floribunda roses send blooms fully opened and match bloom timing of HT roses.

Thanks Rakesh! (I saw your name from Jay Jay channel). You also have good collection of popular roses and I’m wondering how you tend them in your warm climate.🌹🌹🌹

@@rosegardengems Yea that’s my name. Summer is difficult time here in India in temperature zone 10B particularly at 45 degrees. It literally fry up the leaves on some of the roses. Nonetheless, they recovered fast on arrival of monsoon rains.

Your garden is looking really lovely Gemma. It's nice to see some roses that don't get mentioned much here and they are really beautiful: amazing actually. They obviously respond to your care and love for them. I wish I had room for some of the roses you have in your garden.

Hello Peter, I’m wishing to have your rambler and climber but I can’t so I just watched other gardeners garden. Most of my roses are from German rose growers, they are actually different in structure in flowers influenced by the German engineering, the roses are kind of strong and robust. Thanks for the visit!🌹

@@rosegardengems Hi Gemma, I must say that if I find room for another rose in my garden I most certainly would look to the breeders in your Country; I'm very impressed with what I've seen in your garden. I've just replied to Jay Jay's latest video where I know he was planning on coming to see your home breeders. Sadly, that's not to be just at the moment unless his plan 'B' still means he is coming. Your videos are a very useful guide to what's out there. Thanks for sharing. P.

@@peterhaymaker7562 Good morning Peter! Yes! Based on my observations in my garden for 13 years now, German and also from France Meilland really have very good roses in terms of structure and scent. Floribunda roses are also very good. Line Renaud from Meilland has a very strong scent lemon and just this year I was able to smell my Rosen Tantau hybrid tea roses, also very good especially Noblesse. I really want to visit Kordes and Rosen Tantau here in Germany, they are in the north quite far from me but I will in the future. I wish you a lovely day!🌹🌹🌹🌹

Hello gemma. Very lovely roses .its clear that they were fed with lots of love and care from you. Its my first tome to hear about lady capri rose . I like the color but how she is doing in term of fragrance, is it medium or highly fragrance?, is the bush big or compact and does it maitain its color with heat . Thank you.

Hello! Thank you for your kind comment! Regarding Lady Capri, I looked again today, the buds are still closed, one is a little open and it has a light fruity scent but I would rather wait until the flower is mid open. I send you my findings. About the growth, it is growing a little bushy now and upright strong stems estimated 1 meter of height and 60 cm width. She is now 3 years in the garden grown from a bare-rooted rose.🌹🌹🌹

Hello, Fruity Parfuma has a wonderful sweet scent like the red berries. It is suggested by Kordes to smell it at noontime or evening. Thanks for watching and I hope you will be able to get the scent of that rose.🌹

My earth angel has been a let down so far! I had about 3 buds so far that never fully opened. I have heard it takes many years to establish and take off.

Hello! Thanks for your visit in my garden! My 'Earth Angel was not performing well in the first year, it was planted as bare root, this year is its 2nd year and it’s thriving very well with lots of buds and flowers. It took time to half open its bud and maintained its globular shape. I think, yours is still in adjusting phase, how long is it in your garden? May I ask? I wish you a lovely day!🌹

1:32 "Duftjewel" signifying "frangrant gem", lovely shade of apricot/peach color. 21:54 The old, romantic, cabbage rose form that I love and grow. 22:19 Yes, my Earth Angel/ Herzegovina Christiana is beginning her 3rd year, old, romantic, cabbage form that I LOVE, stron old rose scent with definite grapefruit scent in the profile. Thank you for sharing, yes, I follow Jay Jay, a great rosarian. Ralph in Ohio. If weather is too wet for too long, Earth Angel blooms will not open, as if they are dependent upon the drying and therefor contraction/shrinking of outside petals in order to open, my Paschmina Veranda is that way also.

Thank you Ralph for watching this video. I can see that you are a rose lover too. Your lovely rose observation tells how you are fascinated with your jewels in the garden. True, Earth Angel and Fruity Parfuma are just having middle opening and maintain their pompon shape but that’s what made them unique plus the scent. Yes about Jay Jay, he is also very much interested with our German rose growers, Kordes and Rosen Tantau, he is at the moment in the north of Germany. A lovely day to you!🌹🌹🌹

@@rosegardengems Thank you for your kind reply. I assume that those who compose and post these videos have many time demanding things happening in their lives and so it is difficult enough to post videos and even more difficult to reply. How can anyone be depressed in such a world of wonder, especially roses? It sounds like Jay Jay managed to make the excursion that he hoped to make, thank you for sharing the news! Ralph in Ohio.

Hi Gemma, fruity Parfuma and earth angel they don’t open more than that. You see on some of the flowers fruity Parfuma starting to go over, that’s it that’s the extent they open to. Earth angel the same. Your lucky to have so many earth angel open successfully compared to my garden so far 😂. Most of mine are still in bud waiting to open, or rotted out. Gardens looking lovely Gemma. ❤🌹🌹

Good Morning Gemma. Thank you for your tours. How long did it take you to complete your garden
@rosegardengems4 ай бұрын
Hello Robin, sorry for delayed response. My garden is already 11 years and always changing. The first 3 years were just few roses, evergreen and lots of stones. I wasn’t happy with it so I slowly bought additional roses for the last 10 years. My garden in 2016 looked very much different from now, the whole garden was planted with 130 roses. It changes when we need to have a private screen on one side of the garden hence now a lot of evergreen. I lost a lot of David Austin roses. Today the garden is already full so the roses are fighting for their space. Thanks for watching and I wish you a lovely evening!🌹🌹🌹❤️

What do you do to get rid of the blank spots?
@rosegardengems4 ай бұрын
Hello Robin! To be honest, I cannot really get rid of blackspot. The first 5 years of gardening roses, I spend so much money on fighting the leaves diseases and also took the alternative giving them tea Kur , making the rose area airy, watering only on the ground in the morning and removing all the leaves in winter and also the leaves on the ground. Inspite all of what I did, black spot is always there. I talked to few nurseries, spores that make these diseases in leaves are all around in the soil, air etc. The result of climate changes like very wet days and very hot days stresses the roses. I heard a lot of rose growers trying to breed roses which are more robust, strong and adaptable to climate change, maybe that’s the one you will like if you want to grow roses. Thanks for your question!🌹🌹🌹
