He is not an old man. That is being disrespectful. He is a talented dancer. He has his steps perfect. His name is Paul Shelnut and we in the South love to watch him. We lost him this past year, but his flatfooting/buck dancing will live on. He is hitting his heals and toes at at different time making the music with the taps on his shoes.

He is an artist. This is buck dancing/ flat footing at it's best. This is hard to do and keeping the steps and he does not miss a beat. . A part of our southern heritage and is hard to do. RIP Paul, you are the best dancing in the south. Loved watching you dance. Not many people can do this. You are the greatest. This is talent at it's best. Best music, Bluegrass. He is not as old as you think he is. The best talent of any man or woman. We cloggers, flatfoot dancing, Buck dancing is our heritage and we are proud of it.

He really was Buck dancing to Old Time Bluegrass music. Buck dancing, clogging, & flatfoot dancing as well as the Old Time Bluegrass Music is our heritage here in the South (TN, VA, NC & KY) It was brought over by our ancestors from Scottish-Irish in the 1600s. This video was films wiht Old Time Bluegrass music and the Music was changed without his permission. His name is Paul Shelnutt age 75 when he passed away this past year Oct. 2021. He along with the rest of us dancers are keeping our heritage alive with Bluegrass music and our dancing. RIP dear friend Paul.

The original video was made with bluegrass music. The Original was made when the Southern Gentleman was only 64 years old. God rest his soul, he passed away in Oct . We loved to go dancing with him and be a part of our Scottish-Irish Heritage brought to TN, VA. NC & KY in the 1600s. The dancing he is doing is Buck dancing. This is part of flatfooting dancing as well as clogging. He is now dancing in the Happy Dancing Ground in the sky.

May he RIP and will be missed with the rest of us doing our traditional music Old Time Bluegrass music. The music and the dancing of Buck dancing, Clogging and Flatfoot dancing came over with our Scottish-Irish Ancestors. We are trying to keep it alive here in the south. It first was brought to VA, TN, NC & KY in the 1600s.

Wow, took me a while to realize this is a trick. While this is incredible dancing, look at the instruments behind them. The fiddle music style of dancing just happens to fit perfectly with the techno… I love fiddle music but this was a really mean trick.

@@lukasskisland I’m not saying it shouldn’t have been posted. I’m just saying the title should’ve been clear about what was going on. It wouldn’t have been too hard. There are videos of old men actually dancing to techno elsewhere on KZbin, and this came up when I was watching them, so you could see how someone would initially think that this might actually be a man dancing to techno even though he’s old. If the title had been honest this would’ve been perfect.

This is our heritage here in VA, TN, NC & KY. It was brought over with our Scottish-Irish Ancestors. They also brought Bluegrass music, clogging buck Dancing(this is what this gentleman was dancing) and flatfooting in the 1600s. We are proud and want to keep our heritage alive. Thank you.

His name is Paul Shelnutt and he passed away this past Oct (2021) at the age of 75. He was well known all over the South. This dancing which is Buck dancing along with Clogging and flatfoot dancing came from our Scottish-Irish Ancestors along with Old Time Bluegrass music. May Paul Shelnutt, our friend and dancer RIP> We sure miss seeing him dancing at the Bluegrass Festivals this year.

This is what us Hillbillies call clogging, buck dancing or shuffling. They have taps on their shoes and they keep a rhythm going with the music like tap dancers. This fellow is probably in excellent physical shape. They are dancing not to techno but country music most often.
