What a great final! I guess there's a reason why Rapha's consistently #1 in the world. Congratulations to him, he really deserves it. But man, Cooller's just so creative and fun to watch. I find this so much more exciting than any other game out there, especially when Cooller plays Rapha. Both Quake legends and insanely good at it. I remember playing Quake 3 on my college LAN even without internet and watching downloaded videos of Cooller. Much later now, I am 36 and its mindblowing to watch Cooller play at such a high level. Am sad he lost such a close game, but kudos to Rapha who kept his aggression up all through the end to clutch right at the end.

I hope this is not just a fluke, but rather the veterans have finally adjusted to the different meta QC has compared to Q3/Live. I wish Cypher would become committed again and sort out his passport issues. I enjoy watching him play fortnite and I understand there's financial potential there, but the cypher/rapha/cooler (and evil toward the end) era was the epitome of competitive quake.

This game is so underrated. I've recently taken a liking to it after many years have passed from my days on quake 3 arena and the railguns. Super glad it's back. Pubg has taken a rear seat to this high action, intense, action packed, skill demanding father of fps games.

Rapha definitely respects Cooller in Quake. In the first map he was rushing Cooller out of fear or something, it was crazy. I was expecting to see the rational and tactical Rapha like in the last 3 maps, but I understand the pressure, they have a past and Cooller knows how to push Rapha's buttons to make him trip. GG Rapha, you overcame the pressure and thought it through!

Maybe, but all I'm saying is that Rapha did on Awoken everything that he calls "dumb move" in his twitch streams. Why would he go all in like crazy against Cooller? It definitely cost him that map. Luckily he realized that's not the way to go: respawn => all in => die => repeat.

I'm a big fan of Quake !! I usually do not post comments but, these are two legendary players of this highly skilled game. Coollerz has an insanely high damage burst potentional even when other player is fully stacked plus the superb accuracy. The minus to his play is the quite often camping and sneaking (it was very evident on the last map) Rapha has godly movement over the maps and very fast decision making. The minus of his are sometimes kinda dumb? mistakes not to go for a kill. Any way it was a very nice experience to view these two legends again each other. Kudos to both players !!

Being deaf in one ear, it's clear I'll never be a strong dueler. The amount of location tracking these guys are doing based on directional sound is extreme. I'm just running around until I see someone or the volume of their actions is loud enough that I know they're nearby.

Totally understand what u mean, for me the reason i dont play quake so often is 'cause it takes hell out of me, no other game besides starcraft 2 (in my gaming experience) takes so much energy. Ater an hour of playing quake i feel it has been enough, time to play battle royale. So the game experience that this game offers is more likely for nervious and adrenaline addicted guys, not so many people enjoys it. Sometimes i wonder if they will die sooner 'cause of so much playing Quake XD

The first map, both players were pretty aggressive. Cooler's priority was the heavy armor and Rapha, the mega health. The accuracy was really almost the same (only 1%). Well played! The second map Rapha was still aggressive and had better control of the map than Cooler, but both made some really nice frags. They were pretty close speaking of items, even if Cooler had a better control as on the heavy armor, again than Rapha. That was also well played and intense. The third map, Rapha was really smart. The control of the map was impeccable. And the last frag at 42:40 was hilarious! The fourth map, both players were extremely aggressive and the end was incredible! Rapha got emotional at the end, and I can understand that for sure! Great matches, great champions!

That's just for us viewers to know where both players are. The only time you can actually see through walls is when using Visor's special ability, which only lasts a few seconds.

Makes no sound, unlike rails him, and fastest weapon switch to whatever they need. If they held any other gun, for example, and needed something else there would be a longer delay then if they have gaunt out.
