I got one of these, but the cream one, a Fender Deluxe Roadhouse MIM 2014. I upgraded her with: Locking turner Strap Lock 2 screws bridge instead of the original 6 one Changed frets to stainless frets. I inserted a switch that lets me turn on both bridge and neck pickups or all of the 3 pickups together, which gives kind of a "telecaster" sound.

fantastic guitars! Surprising how great it sounds with lots of drive on those single coils, it handles heavy tones like a champ
@bujfvjg72225 жыл бұрын
it has vintage noiseless single coils, same set that come on the Eric Clapton signature Strat.

Congrats! I have one if these as well, the build quality is absolutely fantastic. Surprised me when I looked under the pick guard those are custom shop pups and it’s an American body.

Do you think for use studio this active pickup system can allow you to avoid to buy a guitar with humbukers to have all fatness range? Sorry for my english, I hope you got what I mean

Congrats on the buy :D but I didn't quite understand what the S-1 switch button thingy actually does
@johangrandin6 жыл бұрын
William Simanjuntak It has a preamp with 6 presets that you choose with one of the tone knobs. The S-1 switch turns it on and off.

Just got one of these great guitars. It switches in a mid-boost circuit similar to what's on the Clapton Strat. There's only about half of the db of the Clapton unit though. Fattens up the sound considerably for an almost Les Paul like tone. The second tone adjusts the amount of boost with 5 selectable levels.

Hi, do you recommend after using ? I am considering american special or Mexican roadhouse :(
@johangrandin5 жыл бұрын
Hey. It´s a really nice guitar. Quality was great, straight neck and good finish. But honestly I have sold mine. I think Strats not my cup of tea. I have never tried an american special though. Hope you´ll be satisfied with what you end up choosing.

It doesn't have the sound of an american strat. Somethings just missing.
@MattiasCL6 жыл бұрын
What is the fretwork like on this? Is it smooth like the Americans or a bit more jagged? What was the setup like out of the box?
@johangrandin6 жыл бұрын
MattProtagonist The frets where great. But I had to adjust the neck a little bit, it was too straight. Other than that everything was great.
@johangrandin6 жыл бұрын
MattProtagonist And I ordered some springs for the tremolo arm. It’s a must if you want it to be tight and not wobbly. I’ve read that it’s a problem on every trem with a threaded arm.
@MattiasCL6 жыл бұрын
Ok thank you, I'll get my local music shop to take one home so I can try it rather than ordering it directly.
@MattiasCL6 жыл бұрын
@@johangrandin do you mean spring for the hole where you screw in the arm or behind the bridge? (Go from 2 to 4 springs for example?)
@johangrandin6 жыл бұрын
MattProtagonist Yeah, I mean a little spring you put in hole were the trem arm goes. They were cheap and works great. I think it’s included on the American made strats.
