This is going to put ideas in my head and take money out of my pocket. Can’t wait.

My MIM Strat Vintera has a full neck of sharp frets. It was shipped all the way up here to Canuckistan and I can only imagine it saw too much dry air. Been trying to hydrate the neck with a humidifier but I might start to dress the ends myself. I have been learning how to setup guitars by watching channels like yours, so I don't mind working on it, kinda grows the bond you make with your guitar :)

I have the previous version, normal 9.5 rosewood neck, vintage bridge, Texas Specials, standard tuners and neck joint. Otherwise, identical. Very good resale on these . . . just don't leave the jack plugged in cause it will drain the battery. Your Gen 1 Noiseless sound GREAT.

For anyone else considering this Deluxe Roadhouse Strat but aren't into the preamp/battery, Fender made a model called the Deluxe Stratocaster which was discontinued I think this year, but has all the same features as this one except the preamp/battery. Only bummer is it's not available in white and not available from stores anymore.

Excited for this series, I have a similar '06 Mexican strat I recently modded, also white but rosewood fretboard. I mostly play acoustic so I really prefer rosewood or ebony. I put in a fake wood grain pick guard haha, and Guitar Madness noiseless alnico V pickups, sound great, needed a 0.022uF capacitor though. My only electric and I've had it for a while so I'm stoked on it so far. A few guys on Quora actually helped me out with problems I've had, I bet Dylan would like that site.

I have had the exact same strat for about 8 months, now. And, stripped the rotary pot threads. Not sure if I bought the right replacement pot...you should do a video, please!!!

I put a real wide range humbucker in the bridge of my strat, I love it, it sounds good in any amp, any pedals. It's been the best all around pickup I ever had in all my guitars, for rock wide range have there own sound.
@wesleymorris13 жыл бұрын
@Jack Johnstone Orr fender wide range humbucker, I have an original, but fender sell real repro on there sight, they use special threaded magnet called cunife magnets, they sound amazing, there worth 2 hundred, you have to cut the pick guard to fit though or have one made. There wider then normal humbucker.

Guitar looks and sounds great. I just finished a partscaster and am interested in what you are doing with this strat. By the way, playing on the picnic table was pretty cool ;-)

Could a Strat-90 pickup of yours be built with Alnico VIII magnets for the bridge of this guitar? Could the same be done with a Telecaster bridge pickup? I've only ever seen them in humbuckers.

Hi there! Is any of the rotary switch positions in series?

Dylan, If I use 500k in my strat, couldn't I turn them down slightly to get a 250k tone? If so, aren't 500k always better? Watched all your videos on this subject but this specific question wasn't covered

First mod every single time should be the option for positions 2 & 4 in series and there are many ways to do that.

I had one and like a fool I sold it. I think the poor amp I had at the time is to blame. These new amps they have make lots of different guitars sound great.

I've been wanting to see a 3p90 guitar. I know reverend makes something like that and I've seen some very cheap, but nothing in between.

Electric guitars are not like cars...buy a new guitar and right away you're working on it. Buy a new car and you wax it. That's one of the great pleasures of electric guitars...you make it your own.

They really dumbed down the S-1 switch. On this model, the only thing it does is act as an on-off switch for one of the pickups. A few years earlier when thy were first introduced on the American Deluxe models, the S-1 was more creatively applied (weather you liked it or not was up to you) and yielded several new tones including series/parallel switching and the ability to switch to an alternate capacitor value (referred to as a "special" capacitor). On a different note, I really like the 12" radius fingerboard......very comfortable IMO.
@Hulkhoagie13 жыл бұрын
You're confusing the S-1 on this guitar (MIM Roadhouse Deluxe) with the S-1 on the regular MIM Deluxe Strat. On the regular Deluxe the S-1 activates the bridge pickup in positions 1 and 2. On this guitar the S-1 bypasses the preamp.
@93greenstrat3 жыл бұрын
@@Hulkhoagie1 Actually no. On the old Deluxe Player Strat, there was no S-1 switch. Instead, itt had a simple on\off push button that activated the neck pick up in positions 1 and 2. The actual S-1 switch was introduced at some point on the American Deluxe models giving series/parallel switching, additional pick up combinations and the use of "special capacitors" for more tonal variation, stealthily concealed in the cap pf the volume knob. This feature (if my memory ia correct) found its way to the American Series (the "replacement" for the original American Standard series) and finally to the revamped made-in-Mexico Deluxe series. But by this time, the wiring had been greatly simplified offering fewer tonal options.
@93greenstrat3 жыл бұрын
@@Hulkhoagie1 Basically, they could have just kept the push button to bypass the preamp, but I guess they wanted to maintain the stealth factor.
