You obviously don't know much about abusive relationships, which is a good thing, I wouldn't want anyone to have to go through that. Often, people that haven't been through such things aren't aware of how difficult it can be to just leave. The typical scenario would be the abusive person has destroyed the person being abused self esteem. Has probably convinced him/her that they aren't capable of making it without them, no one else would ever want, etc etc. It's likely that they don't allow the abused access to money. If there's children involved, the abuser may threaten to hurt the children or uses them against the abused. Often times the abused think "If only I was....." "If only didn't....." as if the issues were his/her fault. Then abuser convinces the abused and everyone else in their life that the abused is "crazy." The abuser will often threaten things if the abused were to leave, as well talk trash about the abused to make them look bad, crazy, etc. Often they'll threaten to kill the abused should they leave, and even the children. He/she lives in a constant state of terror and feel as though they have no one to turn to, and they may not have anyone to turn to. It's a horrible way to live and tbh it's understandable why the abused snaps. There are many people in prison because they couldn't take it any more and reacted. I obviously don't know enough about this to say that's what happened, but that's the usual or similar scenario for abusive situations. Domestic Violence shelters are AMAZING for helping these men and women out of such situations but mustering up the courage to go proves quite difficult. The most dangerous time for those in such situations is when the abused manages to finally leave.

@teshahartke54683 жыл бұрын
Yeah but 50 years doesn't necessarily mean 50 years. A lot of time you can get probation early. And some prisons have programs that will take time off of the sentence. Or count time while in the program as double time (ex. if a program lasts 30 days it counts as you serving 60)

My grandmother was strict, but we were in no danger and I would never have considered murdering her, even if I didn't like her parenting style.

Sharee Carter SOMEONE BEING MEAN TO YOU DOESN’T GIVE YOU A SINGLE OUNCE OF RIGHT TO MURDER SOMEONE. You weren’t there at all and cannot make statements that he was mean to her, are you kidding me? She murdered him. It was HIS house that he made the payments on, and opened his doors to her after she almost died. People will be playful with family members and give them a hard time if they think it will help them stop habits that might kill them. She had a stroke and was still smoking. I would have soaked her to the bone if she tried to run my house, smoke in my home, talk bad about me to my kids, and then expose them to second-hand smoke that could seriously affect their health. Are you married, by any chance? Because I am, and in-laws sometimes can be tense to deal with. It’s not a HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY relationship 24/7. Fuck off with that “he was mean to her,” bullshit. We are NOT toddlers. If someone is mean to us, we know to ignore them and move on with our lives, not grab a gun and then shoot them because you’re upset that you can no longer live YOUR way after moving in with someone else in their home. “He WaS mEaN tO hEr.” She murdered him and then went out and enjoyed her birthday, and then bragged about killing him and then started praising God immediately when she found out she had killed him. He WaS mEaN tO hEr, ThOuGh! She literally sat there and asked her granddaughter, after she just learned that she had murdered her father, to come kiss and hug her knowing she had just heard her confession and happiness at murdering her dad. Honestly, it sounds like the only ‘mean’ person here is her. 🤷♀️

@@irisheyesofbelfast I'm just going to copy paste my reply to you on this from the other comment threads 😊 saves time. Carrie Rogers There's never enough evidence for any diagnosis from a video, and no one should diagnose anyone as healthy or unhealthy based on a video, but having said that, there are several classic traits of Overt NPD the mother displays through the story. The daughter testifying for her doesn't prove or disprove anything or diagnose the mother as emotionally healthy in any way. The daughter may have testified under pressure from the mother and/ or extended family. What the lady called abuse was literally nothing. Spraying water when she in a most self entitled manner kept ignoring his requests to not smoke around the kids, and some chiding about her style of dressing etc cannot be called abuse. In fact her continually smoking around children is more abusive. And clearly the jury didn't think there was any evidence of abuse because they sent killer Narcissistic granny to jail for a long time.

@meera25315 жыл бұрын
@@irisheyesofbelfast There's never enough evidence for any diagnosis from a video, and no one should diagnose anyone as healthy or unhealthy based on a video, but having said that, there are several classic traits of Overt NPD the mother displays through the story.
