A beloved grandma can’t hold back her tears of joy as she discovers her newborn great-granddaughter has been named after her. When Melissa Regner, 36, broke the news to her grandma Nancy, at St. Nicks Hospital, in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, the 86-year-old initially let out a stunned, "You're kidding me!" But then, as the reality of the situation hit Nancy, her hands began to tremble with shock and tears filled her eyes. She was then presented with baby Nancy - who Melissa had always intended to name after her grandma, even before her first child - a son named Casper who was named after his great, great grandpa - was born. The previous year had been tough on Nancy, Melissa said, adding to the emotion of the moment.

The only picture that exists of my mom holding my youngest niece was taken the day she was born. Mom died of a massive stroke 5 weeks later. So glad I thought to take pictures that day in the hospital. My niece is now 21 years old.

My dad's middle name is his dad's first name, then my younger brother's 2 middle names are our dad's first and middle name. (I don't know why he skipped me then did it with my younger brother) If I have a son I want to name him my middle name which he picked because of a famous football player, I love that name too. This is exactly how my Nana reacted when we told her that we wanted to honor her and have our son's middle name be her maiden name (Allen) and she just cried tears of joy. One of my favorite memories of my little family with my Nana (my kids Great-Nana) RIP Nana she was such a gem, even into her 80's she would dress like she was stuck in a 50-60's housewife role and she rocked it. She did always say her most favorite job in life was being a military wife and stay at home mother.
